This Sunday Preview is absolutely packed, even by Warhammer standards.
Chaos dominates The Old World, which feels fittingly dramatic. However, Blood Bowl also gets several heavyweight additions. Meanwhile, White Dwarf, Black Library, and Warhammer+ keep the wider hobby calendar busy.
Warriors of Chaos Lead a Huge Pre-order Week

The Old World section is the main event, and Warriors of Chaos players get a proper wave. First comes the Lord on Chaos Dragon, a huge two-headed monster with real centerpiece energy. You can build it with a Chaos Lord or infernal Chaos Sorcerer in the saddle. Better yet, the spare rider becomes a foot hero, while the dragon can fly solo. That even opens the door for Galrauch-style fun.

Meanwhile, the Champions of Chaos set adds two imposing heroes, one mounted and one on foot. Either model can carry the huge banner as a Battle Standard Bearer.

The core army gets support too, with 16 Chaos Warriors in thick plate, hand weapons, and shields. Also, the kit includes interchangeable heads, shields, weapons, and options for one or two command groups.

Chaos Knights bring the hammer blow, with eight plastic riders, lance options, command parts, and kit compatibility.

Then the Battle March boxes give players faster ways into smaller games. Warriors of Chaos get Warriors, Knights, Marauder Horsemen, Marauders, and a Sorcerer.

Grand Cathay gets a Shugengan Lord on Longma, Jade Warriors, Jade Lancers, Iron Hail Gunners, and Crane Gunners.

However, the Arcane Journal may be the real rules hook. The March of Chaos has 48 pages of lore, Chaos Champion creation rules, expanded Winds of Magic mechanics, and more.

Also, the Arcane Magic Ploys deck adds 56 risky wizard effects, which sounds deliciously dangerous.

Blood Bowl fans get serious muscle as well. Morg ‘n’ Thorg arrives in plastic for the first time. You can build him in Imperial, Badlands, or Chaos uniforms. Since he plays for nearly everyone except Undead teams, that is a flexible collector piece.

Meanwhile, the new Minotaur supports Chaos Chosen, Chaos Dwarf, and Chaos Renegade teams.

Skaven coaches get a plastic Rat Ogre, bringing speed, power, and tail-based nuisance. Spike! Journal 22 focuses on Blood Bowl Sevens, including team-building and gameplay rules. Also, the double-sided Sevens pitch and dugouts support the smaller, faster format.

White Dwarf 527 covers the new 40K edition, a Blood Angels versus Goff Orks battle report, Darkwater solo rules, Tale of Four Warlords, and Skaven sea fiction.

Finally, Black Library brings Bjorn: The Fell-Handed in limited edition, while Warhammer+ adds Beastmen lore, Guard versus Emperor’s Children, and Painting Desk with Joshua Mallett.
Summary and Final Thoughts
Overall, this preview feels like a full hobby buffet. The Old World gets the strongest showing, especially with Chaos returning in force. However, Blood Bowl players also get major plastic upgrades and Sevens support. Meanwhile, the magazine, novel, and Warhammer+ pieces make the week feel rounded. For campaign-minded players, the Chaos wave also has real army-building legs. If Chaos is your thing, this is a dangerous week for your wallet.
