Beyond the competitive or casual events the LVO also gives you Hobby Classes and an amazing opportunity to learn from the best of the best!
There are over 70 options for different classes for you to take at the Las Vegas Open, here are some of the highlights!

Class Description: This hobby is supposed to be fun, but we often torture ourselves with all manner of mental anguish; frustration, lack of motivation, plateaus, difficulty improving, distractions and more. In this class, we’ll look at the things that stop us, how to get moving again, and how to keep going. You’ll also learn what cognitive science tells us about how to improve, and be happier along the way.

Class Description: Have you faltered in drawing tattoos, resulting in a big blob on your work? Looking to make some sick AF banner? Or do you want to stunt on your painting group by painting the Mona Lisa on a knight? In this class we’ll cover some theory on drawing and painting within small scales, learn some basics of paint handling, and finally paint a design on a model (provided for the class of course).

Class Description: Learn to paint the perfect eyes on your miniatures in a variety of scales. Don’t let this essential task daunt you. Learn to paint eyes with confidence with one of Miniatures premiere teachers: Matt DiPietro. Over the years Matt has developed a variety of tips and tricks to make painting eyes easier and ensure that they look fantastic. In this shorter class you’ll learn these tricks and get a chance to practice them yourself.

Class Description:Are you trying to paint an army that looks good? Does your painting look amazing at the desk, but then like ass on the table? Wanna make a force that will impress senpai at the F.L.G.S. and get him/her to notice you? Well then, this class is for you. We’ll be discussing mass painting strategies that give you the best bang for your buck, without having to spend 20 hours glazing a single model’s shoe. As well as how to approach the various different “pain points” common within many armies, such as faces, detail hell, or massive hoards. Students *may* bring examples of their own armies for hands-on examples and advice.
