The last round of turn 2 of the Market Garden Global Campaign is here!
The Germans have managed to lift the siege of Eindhoven by retaking Helmond Bridge and push the paras off of the Groesbeek heights. However the allies have launch a coup and linked up with the paras around Nijmegen.

You can read more about how the campaign functions, mission rules and recommended army lists in the link below. You can also follow the previous set of battles here.

For the next week (until midnight on Sunday November 1st) you can log a game here and have it impact the overall campaign
Let’s take a look at this week’s battles!
2.3.1 — HELMOND BRIDGE

4TH ARMOURED BRIGADE
OPERATION ORDER – PRIORITY
To: 23rd Hussars and Forward Elements, 4th Armoured Brigade
Subject: Seizure of Helmond Bridge
SITUATION: Fallschirmjäger continue to hold Helmond Bridge and its approaches. Enemy FW 190s have been active over the sector, striking exposed columns and delaying movement along the roads. The defenders have had time to establish anti-tank positions among the buildings and approaches.
MISSION: 23rd Hussars will lead the assault, break the German bridge defence, and secure the crossing for the brigade.
EXECUTION: Tanks will advance by covered bounds, avoiding unnecessary concentration while enemy aircraft remain overhead. Supporting troops will clear Fallschirmjäger from houses, roadblocks, and concealed gun positions. Once resistance breaks, armour is to cross immediately and establish a firm position beyond Helmond.
The bridge must not become another costly bottleneck. Momentum northward is to be restored before darkness or renewed air attack intervenes.
REPORT: Bridge condition, enemy guns destroyed, armour losses, and strength established beyond the crossing to Brigade immediately.

2.3.2 — WILHELMINA CANAL BRIDGE

7TH ARMOURED DIVISION
OPERATION ORDER – IMMEDIATE
To: 22nd Armoured Brigade and 12th (Motorised) Battalion, K.R.R.C.
Subject: Assault on Wilhelmina Canal Crossing
SITUATION: Fallschirmjäger under Oberstleutnant Friedrich von der Heydte hold the Wilhelmina Canal crossing. Expect disciplined resistance from experienced airborne troops using the canal, embankments, and nearby buildings as a prepared defensive line.
MISSION: 22nd Armoured Brigade and 12th K.R.R.C. will force the crossing and prevent the enemy withdrawing in good order.
EXECUTION: K.R.R.C. will clear the near approaches and identify anti-tank positions before armour commits to the bridge. Once an opening is created, 22nd Armoured Brigade will cross rapidly and drive beyond the canal before von der Heydte can organise another blocking position.
Expect counterattack. Fallschirmjäger have repeatedly shown an ability to recover from apparent defeat and form fresh Kampfgruppen from scattered troops.
The crossing is the objective. Do not dissipate strength chasing bypassed defenders.
REPORT: Bridge condition, enemy strength, prisoners, casualties, and progress beyond the canal to Division.

2.3.3 — GRAVE BRIDGE

82ND AIRBORNE DIVISION
FIELD ORDER – PRIORITY
To: Forward Elements, 82nd Airborne Division and Attached 101st Airborne Glider Troops
Subject: Seizure of Grave Bridge
SITUATION: German bridge guards and anti-aircraft detachments continue to defend the Grave crossing. Heavier enemy formations appear committed elsewhere, but Flak crews and local security troops may fight stubbornly around prepared positions and demolition points.
MISSION: Airborne forces will seize Grave Bridge intact and establish a secure bridgehead on both banks.
EXECUTION: 82nd Airborne assault elements will move directly upon the bridge while attached 101st glider troops secure the approaches and prevent interference from nearby positions. Anti-aircraft guns overlooking the crossing are to be silenced quickly; several may prove dangerous in a direct-fire role against infantry.
Advance parties are to reach demolition controls before German engineers can destroy the span.
The Maas crossing is too important to permit a prolonged firefight. Once the bridge is secured, establish all-round defence and prepare for counterattack.
REPORT: Bridge condition, demolition charges located, enemy guns captured, casualties, and defensive perimeter established to Division immediately.

2.3.4 — EINDHOVEN

GUARDS ARMOURED DIVISION
OPERATION ORDER – PRIORITY
To: Irish Guards Group and Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry
Subject: Clearance of Eindhoven
SITUATION: Elements of SS-Panzer-Division Hohenstaufen remain in Eindhoven, using buildings, crossroads, and rubble to obstruct the Allied corridor. Their continued presence threatens the flow of armour, fuel, and supplies toward the airborne divisions farther north.
MISSION: Lt. Col. Vandeleur will direct the attack to clear Eindhoven and restore unrestricted movement through the city.
EXECUTION: Irish Guards infantry and armour will advance along the principal axis while Sherwood Rangers Shermans engage strongpoints and enemy armour encountered among the built-up areas. Infantry must precede tanks through confined streets where Panzerfaust teams may be concealed.
Do not permit isolated SS groups to draw the column into prolonged street fighting. Bypass and contain positions where practicable, then reopen the road.
Every hour lost in Eindhoven is an hour denied to the troops waiting farther up the corridor.
REPORT: Main route open, enemy armour destroyed, casualties, and remaining pockets of resistance to Division immediately.
