The Age of Sigmar 2026 Battleforces have been revealed, bringing six very different army bundles to the Mortal Realms.
Meanwhile, House Orlock receives substantial new gang-building options for Necromunda. Warhammer Day is also arriving with a commemorative miniature, free artwork, and an exclusive scenario. Together, these updates cover army building, campaign gaming, and some old-fashioned in-store hobby fun.
Age of Sigmar 2026 Battleforces Cover Six Very Different Armies

The Age of Sigmar 2026 Battleforces offer six boxes covering Order, Chaos, Death, and Destruction. Stormcast Eternals receive the Annihilation Host, led by Bastian Carthalos alongside a Lord-Relictor and Lord-Celestant. Additionally, three Praetors and nine Annihilators turn the box into an extremely armoured infantry force.

Cities of Sigmar instead get the Knights of Hammerhal, with Tahlia Vedra leading a Cavalier-Marshal and ten Freeguild Cavaliers. Consequently, this set leans heavily into speed and mounted shock power rather than traditional Castelite infantry blocks.

Nurgle gets perhaps the most varied bundle with the Plaguesworn Host. A Harbinger of Decay and Lord of Blights lead Sloven Knights, Putrid Blightkings, Rotswords, Pox-Wretches, and Mire Kelpies. Therefore, the box provides cavalry, infantry, smaller creatures, and resilient elite fighters in one package.

Orruk players get something considerably less subtle with the Grunta Stampede. Two Maw-Grunta kits and six Gore-Gruntas make this essentially an entire stampeding wall of angry pigs. Better still, both Maw-Gruntas have alternate builds, giving players some useful assembly choices.

Nighthaunt receive the Court of the Undying King, with Nagash towering over Dreadblade Harrows and thirty spectral infantry. That makes the box especially appealing for players wanting a centerpiece alongside a substantial ghostly core.

Finally, Slaves to Darkness get the Legion of Damnation. A mounted Chaos Lord leads Chosen, Varanguard, Chaos Knights, and Chaos Warriors, creating a compact but heavily armoured elite force. All six battleforces are due for pre-order soon, with exact dates coming through future Sunday Previews.
House Orlock Gets Wrecking Crews, Outrider Gangs, and Serious Muscle

House Orlock’s new Underhive Journal goes much further than simply adding several fighter profiles. Instead, players receive two themed gang variants alongside new equipment and campaign options. Wrecking Crews are demolition specialists led by Demolitions Captains and Masters, with Wrecker Scouts using jump boosters to hunt valuable scrap.

Naturally, explosives are central to their playstyle. Fire in the Hole! gives Wrecking Crew fighters a 5+ Invulnerable save against friendly Blast weapons.

Consequently, they can operate frighteningly close to their own explosives without immediately regretting every life choice. Outrider Gangs take Orlock’s ash-waste identity in another direction. Every fighter can ride an Outrider Quad, including new mounted Leaders, Champions, and Prospects. Moreover, mounted fighters gain +1 Cool and can modify their rides between battles.

Upgrades include smoke launchers, extra weapon mounts, and scythed wheels for particularly enthusiastic charges. Orlock leaders also gain four specialist fighter types. Road Enforcers focus on melee, Road Blasters specialize in overwatch, and Road Shooters favour pistols and sawn-off shotguns.

Meanwhile, Road Engineers handle explosives and can carry the Strength 6, AP -3 scrap welder. Ogryn Minders add an entirely different layer by protecting nearby Leaders and Champions. With Toughness 5 and three Wounds, they can absorb punishment before retaliating with weapons like the ripper gun.

Campaign players also gain Territories, Side Jobs, Gang Tactics, and six Bravado skills. Legendary Names return as well, offering eleven characterful upgrades with both advantages and drawbacks. The journal, card pack, and three new miniature boxes go on pre-order Saturday.
Warhammer Day Brings Oath Fulfilled, Free Artwork, and a Chaos Scenario

Warhammer Day arrives Saturday with Oath Fulfilled, the new Slaves to Darkness commemorative miniature. Additionally, participating Warhammer stores offer a free A4 Darkoath Warqueen art card while stocks last. The reverse contains a special scenario starring Warqueen Khrargha. Every three enemies she kills earns a random boon from the Chaos Gods. These bonuses can restore health, improve attacks, boost wound rolls, or strengthen her Ward.

Meanwhile, store staff will offer painting advice for the highly detailed miniature. Customers spending £95, or their local equivalent, may also qualify for the previously announced Space Marine 2 desk mat promotion.

Overall, the Age of Sigmar 2026 Battleforces provide the biggest headline, with six boxes offering genuinely distinct army styles. However, Necromunda players arguably get the deepest rules update through Orlock’s expanded campaign options. Meanwhile, Warhammer Day adds a smaller but pleasantly old-school reason to visit a local store.
