The VIII Legion rarely needs help looking sinister on a shelf. However, JoyToy’s latest Heresy wave leans hard into that reputation.

Sevatar Leads a New Night Lords JoyToy Collector Wave

JoyToy has opened pre-orders for eight Warhammer: The Horus Heresy figures based on the Night Lords Legion. The centerpiece is Jago Sevatarion, better known as Sevatar, first captain of the VIII Legion. His set includes the Whisper of Night power glaive, a dagger, bolt pistol, backpack, stand, and interchangeable hands. It also includes helmeted and unhelmeted heads, which is great for either masked menace or named-character presence.

Meanwhile, two Praetors add command weight. Buyers can choose a jump pack Praetor or a Tartaros Terminator Praetor. Both include interchangeable hands, heads, weapons, and stands.

The heavier part of the wave includes three Contemptor Terminators. All three include hands, stands, and melee weapons, while one also receives an extra head.

Finally, two Tactical Legionaries round out the line. One has a bolt pistol and bolter. However, the other adds a power sword, plasma pistol, bolter, bolt pistol, and three heads. Naturally, both include interchangeable hands, stands, and backpacks. The wave is expected in September 2026, although JoyToy’s dates may shift earlier or later.

Summary and Final Thoughts

Overall, this is a strong Heresy collector wave. Sevatar gives it a centerpiece, while Praetors and armored elites add weight. Meanwhile, the Tactical Legionaries keep the release tied to the wider Legion.
