Rumors: The Rumor Section is gathered from the web and is not in any way information we receive from any manufacturer nor is it necessarily accurate. This section of the podcast is intended for entertainment purposes only.

- Rumors that Dark Eldar are indeed on the way to us in the very near future!
- Iron Warriors coming out next with Perturabo, Siege Terminators, a special Rhino and Erasmus Golg.
- More awesome pics of crazy new FW Knights from the Euro Open day, too. Crusader Robots? Solar Auxilia? More AdMech?! WOW! You go, Forge World.
- We can expect more models of other factions aside of the Legions, such as Solar Auxilia, Dark Mechanicum, Traitor Imperial Army, Knights Errant and early Inquisition, Sisters of Silence and Custodes.
- Rumors about Fantasy and what the future holds. Supposedly the End Times story arc is going to radically change the story and setting of Fantasy. There was talk of dropping the line entirely, changing it to a skirmish style game with miniatures on round bases, etc. But, it seems that they are going to advance the story with a cataclysmic story, and many races are going to change, merge with others, etc. The end result is rumored to be a post-apocalyptic fantasy setting with a new look and feel.
- PP RUMORS
- Last week new released images from Privateer Press’s Summer Campaign showing the concept art for what appears to be a new Cygnar Jack and a New Cryx Jack. It was later confirmed in last weeks Privateer Press Prime (the companies official Podcast) that these were new Character Jacks and that the Cygnar jack was Nemo’s Character Jack called “Dynamo”

- FLG Notes: So Privateer Press does annual summer campaigns where players can play games and report them on a website. (Similar to Eye of Terror summer campaign from back in the day). How it differs is the two factions (Purist vs. Opportunist) going against each other are racing to unlock thier vault images which are always a new upcoming model. (As an example the new Circle Caster Bradigus (which was released at GenCon) was spoiled via last seasons vault image)
- FLG Notes 2: Character Jacks can be used by anyone but when used by the caster they are assigned to they get an added bonus to their abilities.
- Eldar Supplement inbound for Ulthwe! This will supposedly be accompanied by a multi-part plastic Warlock kit.
- Dark Eldar next! We’ve heard that their book is indeed done. Exciting times ahead for the Dark Kin!
- Supposedly a new Space Hulk inbound?
- The new paints rumored are glazes, shades, pink base, green/metallic base, and some technical paints.
Rant Session
Tactics Corner
Rules Lawyer
- Is a Wolf Lord on a Thunderwolf Strength 9 or 10?
List Review
Ryan L sends us the following list:
List Review
1750 Inquisition/Assassins
The number of units are limited due to the Inquisition FoC and aren’t very durable but put out a lot of offensive power!
Henchmen unit 1
[Warlord] Xenos Inquisitor – Rad, Psychotroke, Psyker (ML1), Force Sword, Power armour, Liber Heresius (hopefully Scouts the Redeemer with the unit, provides special grenades plus Divination or Telepathy)
Landraider Redeemer – Multimelta, Psyflame, Psybolt (two S7 AP3 Templates, S7 TL Assault Cannon and Multimelta will do work)
3 Acolytes – 3x Melta, 1x Meltabomb (cheap Melta to pop transports)
3 Crusaders (to soak some shooting on their 3++)
4 Deathcult assassins
1 Ministorum Priest – Eviscerator (for some AP2 since Crusaders/Assassins are limited to Power Swords, plus Zealot and rerolls to wound from Hymns)
Henchmen unit 2
Valkyrie – Las cannon, side sponsons (anti-air and drop the unit where they’re most needed)
5 Acolytes – 2x Stormbolter, 3x Melta, 1x Meltabomb
2 Jokaero (hopefully provide +12″ range and Rending!)
1 Psyker (10 points for some Divination)
Henchmen unit 3
Coteaz (babysits the Servitors and provides Divination)
Chimera – 2x Heavy Bolter, Stormbolter, Psybolt (providing mobile LoS blocking, S6 Heavy Bolters and mobility for the unit if needed)
2 Acolytes – 2x Plasma
2 Jokaero (again, hopefully provide +12″ range and Rending)
3 Servitors – 3x Multi-melta
Formation – Assassinorum Execution Force
The Assassins eliminate the biggest dangers to the henchmen, with the Culexus shutting down psykers obviously!
Vindicare
Callidus
Eversor
Culexus
Thanks for the list review. The army is definitely themed but I wanted to also make it competitive.
I recognised the lack of AA, which is why I swapped the Valk’s Multilaser for the Lascannon. It’s not much, I know, but it does also have a couple of missiles! Mainly I’m relying on twin-linked from Divination on my foot troops to take out flyers. Though I could probably shuffle some things around to replace the Chimera with a second Valk and/or make the army 1850 (is that the most common tournament size, or 1750?).
Unfortunately, if I’m reading the rules correctly, Inquisition can’t take Fortifications – otherwise I’d have an Aegis Defence Line or Bastion with a Quad-gun for more AA. I also can’t see any useful Forge World units that are available to the Inq…
However, I’ve seen a rumour or two that Inquisition are getting a new Codex “soon”, so it might be best to hold off completing the army until I see what’s new!
Regardless, I’d love to be able to bring the army in and see what it can do but I’m on the wrong side of the world plus there doesn’t seem to be much of a competitive scene near me. 🙁
Oh yeah, and Codex Inquisition still has Psybolt Ammo, as you thought.
Nice!
Excellent show as always guys! im so excited/nervous for dark eldar! Also thats badass about perturabo but when is my curze being released!? lol
Hey guys loved the podcast today. I just wanted to chime in on the Team Tournament thing…
I personally enjoy the Team Tournaments more than any other. As the TO of my local FLG, I host tournaments every month and we Alternate between a singles tournament and a Team Event. Both of which sell out and we usually get a lot of good feedback on them. They just feel like more of a casual event, vs the hardcore singles. Maybe thats a reason why the turnout for that isn’t as good for LVO just because I think the mentality is that its more of a Tournament scene vs Adepticon which is usually viewed more as a Hobby convention.
Just my thoughts since I wasn’t ever a Tournament guy before I started running our own.
OH and I personally would love to see a Horus Heresy match up in the future. I’ll be bringing my HH Blood Angels down to LVO for my 40k Army.
I keep trying to get a 30lk side event going, I brought my Sons of Horus to the BaO as normal marines
Bronies for the most part are Ok.
The furries on the other hand, those people are freaks.
God damnit…. I wish that dang container would arrive already. I WANT ANOTHER MAT.
FRICK FRICK FRICK!
Soooo close!
Reece- have you already discuss skimmers still being able to jink even if immobile?
Not yet, but we will do so.
This is what someone on Amazon had to say about the Butcher of Khador:
“Wow.
Just. Wow.
Let me explain why those words came first.
In the game from which this is derived, The Butcher is a well-known and feared character who has a problem with being absolutely bughouse nuts and killed an entire village. (And half the army he rode there with.) The formula was simple: Take giant madman, give large axe. Send large man to crush and maim puny enemy. Easy, simple, straightforward and about as deep as a kiddie pool in the middle of the Sahara.
Dan Wells just took us down to the bottom of the Atlantic and gave us WHY the man became who he was. As the story unfolds between several different time periods we’re shown the undercurrent of paranoia and sheer murderous sociopathic tendencies the main character, Orsus, deals with and the various stages of his ‘issue.’ Instead of a heavy-handed “This guy’s CRAAAAAAZZZZY” a lazy author might have gone with, instead we’re given a story about a man for which we feel sympathy and authentic pain for. At the end, the gut-wrenching end, we’re handed the whole package, wrapped up nicely and honestly cannot help but pity the man who became The Butcher of Khardov.
This is an amazing piece, one of the best short stories I’ve read in a very, very long time.”
I’ve also heard of the author, Dan Wells, before. I’ve never actually read any of his books, but he keeps close company with several of my favorite authors, so that’s always a good sign.
Wow, nice! I might have to read it, now.
