This week the boys talk the Order faction updates to look forward to in the the upcoming General’s Handbook 2017.
The Warhammer Community page had a TON of previews on the alliance and what to look forward to. You can see all of that here.
The allegiance abilities for the non-battletome factions are nice and all, but one of my biggest concerns are the relics and battalions. Taking dispossessed as an example, they really only have 1 battalion, and that is rendered redundant because it provides the same benefit of our battle trait. That is liberating in a way, but when you think about relics and the amount of relics dependent on our battalions, we will only ever be able to bring 1 relic, unless we pay for an meet the very expensive requirements of an entirely redundant battalion to get one single additional relic. I think the allegiance stuff is cool, but it’s frankly not enough compared to the battletome factions.
Yeah, but that is also assuming there have been no changes made to Battalions.
Interesting you say that, because there is no indication anywhere that any of the Battalions are changing, let alone the Dispossessed one. However if it is changed to provide a different benefit and loosened up on its requirements, then that would be awesome news indeed.
The ally ability is amazing for some armies and not as good for others. As said it also depends on if the allegiance ability is worth taking. For pure armies like ironjaws and alot of the old chaos armies, it helps that they have access to shooting now.
Though I bet spam lists will all have a 3 unit of vulkite bezerkers as their battleline tax now.
Assuming Vulkites function in the same way =)
Dang it! I just want the book now
