This week’s GW Pre-orders put the Tomb Kings of Khemri firmly back in the spotlight.
The undead receive a major reinforcement box, fresh campaign material, and useful gaming accessories. Meanwhile, Da Red Gobbo returns for another round of festive chaos across several Warhammer systems. Black Library and Warhammer TV also make this a surprisingly broad release week.
Tomb Kings Lead a Packed Week of GW Pre-Orders

The centerpiece is the Host of Nehekhara Army Reinforcement Set for Warhammer: The Old World. Inside are 36 Skeleton Warriors, 36 Skeleton Archers, and six Skeleton Chariots. That is a serious block of plastic for anyone expanding an existing Tomb Kings collection. Better still, each unit includes cosmetic options, plus champions, musicians, and standard bearers. Consequently, the box works for both army growth and hobbyists wanting more visual variety. The set is limited while stocks last, so this is not a permanent evergreen bundle.

Alongside it comes Arcane Journal: The River of Bones, which pushes Settra’s wars toward Bretonnia. His campaign also provokes the Wood Elves after a High Priest corrupts an important water source. The journal adds new Armies of Infamy for both Tomb Kings and Wood Elves. Additionally, Wood Elf players gain rules for fielding Gargantuan Treemen. Expanded magic item options round out the supplement, giving both armies more list-building texture.

Tomb Kings also get a set of 20 bone-white dice with faction icons on the sixes. A separate pack of 54 reference cards covers magic items, abilities, spells, incantations, and other useful rules. Both products are also limited, which gives collectors another reason to watch these GW Pre-orders closely.

Warhammer 40,000 joins the week through the latest incarnation of Da Red Gobbo. This year, the revolutionary grot rides a squigmobile into seasonal mayhem. More importantly, he receives rules for Warhammer 40,000, Kill Team, and Blood Bowl. Those rules will appear through the Festive Activities Guide, giving the miniature actual gaming use.

Black Library has an especially busy week as well. Ben Counter’s Grey Knights receives a premium special edition with red foil page edges and extra presentation touches. It also includes an additional short story, making it more than a simple cover swap. The book returns to Justicar Alaric and his daemonhunters confronting a daemon prince after a millennium-long banishment.

That special edition opens for pre-order at 3pm UK time on October 28. Three more hardbacks arrive alongside it. Raptors: War and Shadow pits the Raptors Chapter against a tendril of Hive Fleet Leviathan. Crucible of Fire follows Astra Militarum survivors facing an incoming Ork horde. Da Red Gobbo’s Reckoning instead sends long-suffering Ratlings after the notorious grot revolutionary. Four paperback releases broaden the week further.

Armageddon: Season of Fire follows three Imperial warriors fighting across the famous war zone. Death Rider places a commissar among the Death Korps of Krieg during a dangerous withdrawal.

Ghost Legion returns to Solomon Akurra and the Alpha Legion, complete with feuds and Imperial Assassins. Treachery Unbound gathers stories from across the 41st Millennium into a broad anthology.

Warhammer TV also has plenty scheduled. Loremasters explores how Tallarn changed from a lush world into the desert battlefield fans know today. Tale of Four Gamers reaches the contestants’ first 1,000-point battles. Meanwhile, Ultimate Paint-off tackles a drybrush-only challenge using the new Tone Pro paint range. The second episode of Arkanaut arrives later in the week. Finally, the Kill Lupercal soundtrack becomes available for anyone wanting suitably dramatic hobby music.
Warhammer Community will also revisit River of Bones and Tone Pro before the weekend. Most intriguingly, another reveal is teased for the following day, focused on new Warhammer 40,000 Battleforce boxes. Overall, these GW Pre-orders mix a major Tomb Kings push with books, collectibles, and video content.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this is a strong week for players who enjoy collecting across several Warhammer systems. Tomb Kings clearly dominate the release schedule, yet the supporting products feel substantial rather than incidental. Meanwhile, Da Red Gobbo gives the week some welcome seasonal nonsense. Black Library fans also get unusually broad coverage across hardbacks, paperbacks, and a premium classic. Taken together, these GW Pre-orders offer far more than one headline army box.
