Battlefront Toys for Tots Returns for Its Ninth Annual Holiday Drive

Battlefront Toys for Tots returns in 2026 with another charity event built around actually playing games.

This year, stores can host tournaments, campaigns, or mega-battles across several Battlefront systems. Better still, every participant enters the prize drawing simply by showing up and donating. It is a smart mix of community gaming, holiday giving, and some genuinely wild prizes. This is a summary of their community post found here.

Battlefront Turns Tournament Day Into a Toy Drive

Participating stores can run one-day events using Flames of War, Team Yankee, Checkpoint Charlie, and World of Tanks. Other eligible systems include ’Nam, Clash of Steel, Fate of a Nation, and Great War. Instead of charging a normal entry fee, each player donates a new toy worth at least $15.

Stores then deliver those donations to Toys for Tots or another local children’s charity. Importantly, winning games does not improve your prize odds. Every participant receives an equal chance in Battlefront’s random drawing. The grand prize is particularly ridiculous in the best possible way. One winner receives their height in boxes, laid flat, with a minimum prize height of 5 feet 8 inches. Additionally, five players receive 150-point armies worth up to $500 each.

Further random prizes scale with total attendance, giving larger events even more chances to send players home happy. Prizes come from available store stock, with Battlefront warehouse stock used when possible for unavailable choices. Stores must register by October 26 and hold their event by December 13. Afterward, player lists and a photo of collected toys are due December 14. Tournament results reach Battle Rankings by December 16, with Battlefront drawing winners on December 17.

Winners are then announced through Battlefront’s social channels on December 18. Meanwhile, qualifying shops receive promotion through Battlefront’s website and social media. A grand-prize store receives $300 MSRP product credit, while an army-winner store receives $100 MSRP credit. The shop collecting the most toys receives another $250 MSRP credit. Organizers handle local promotion and donation delivery, although neighboring stores can coordinate different game systems. Finally, unpaid organizers may enter after donating, while employees and associated household members remain ineligible. Toys for Tots itself is a Marine Corps Reserve program founded in 1947 by Major Bill Hendricks.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Battle Front Toys for Tots is exactly the sort of organized-play event that strengthens a local gaming scene. Players get an excuse to roll dice, stores gain traffic, and children receive something meaningful for Christmas. Better yet, the prizes reward participation rather than podium finishes, keeping the whole day focused on community.
