Necromunda 2027 is shaping up as a busy year for the underhive skirmish game.
However, the roadmap also confirms one notable cancellation alongside the new releases. Meanwhile, Space Marine 2 is celebrating another milestone with a Warhammer Store promotion. The Old World gets River of Bones rules for Tomb Kings and Wood Elf armies.
Necromunda 2027 Brings Vehicles, Underhells, Cinderak, and New Bounty Hunters

Necromunda 2027 will focus on the core miniature game rather than the planned roleplay expansion. Games Workshop has cancelled that project to concentrate resources on miniatures for the main game. However, models shown during the Big Autumn Preview are still coming for standard Necromunda.

Spring returns players to the ash wastes with new rules expansions. Most notably, it introduces the largest plastic vehicle kit yet released for Necromunda. Later, players head back into the Underhells alongside new Malstrain Genestealer Cult fighters. Afterward, the action returns to Cinderak City, still scarred by the Aranthian Succession. Classic underhive crews receive support there, including hulking new brutes. Finally, 2027 closes with new mercenaries and gunslingers hunting bounties across the planet.

Other gangs, scenery, and rules expansions are also promised. Meanwhile, Orlock players still have three multipart kits coming before 2026 ends. Overall, this looks like a broad miniature-driven roadmap rather than one single campaign release.
Space Marine 2 Celebrates 15 Million Players With a Warhammer Day Desk Mat

Space Marine 2 has now passed 15 million unique active players. Consequently, Warhammer Day weekend brings a limited commemorative desk mat at Warhammer stores. The artwork shows Lieutenant Titus above slain Tyranids beneath the Ultramarines Second Company banner. Customers must visit on October 31 or November 1 and spend £95, US$130, €110, or the local equivalent. Importantly, the purchase can include any Warhammer products.

Buyers then enter their receipt code online to receive a Warhammer Merch redemption code. However, shipping costs still apply, and the promotion is limited to one mat per customer while stocks last. Receipt codes must be entered by November 8.
River of Bones Expands Tomb Kings and Wood Elves With New Army Options

River of Bones adds two scenarios, including a four-player Battle March game and the battle at Crystal Mere. Enchanted Terrain makes Athel Loren unpredictable, with effects ranging from movement penalties to Regeneration and Ward saves. Meanwhile, Champions of Nehekhara adds Tomb Kings options for Battle March. The Arch Hierophant can let players field armies without an on-table Hierophant, although that flexibility carries risk.

The Barrow Kingdoms Army of Infamy represents distant Nehekharan vassal states with unusual magical traditions. Accordingly, Liche Priests gain Battle Magic and Dark Magic, while Skeleton Horsemen and Chariots receive upgrades. Wood Elves instead gain the Spirits of the Forest Army of Infamy, emphasizing Dryads, Treekin, and Treemen. Blessings of the Elder Wood provide magical upgrades for Treemen and Branchwraiths.

Additionally, Wood Elf Kindreds alter Kinbands, including faster Cavaroc units and stronger Torgovann weapons. New common magic items add risky barrow-themed relics for everyone. The Armour of Dust can reduce its wearer’s Toughness after a disastrous save.

Meanwhile, Barrow-dirt works as a one-use magical Breath Weapon that can also endanger its bearer. Importantly, new Tomb Kings model profiles remain in Ravening Hordes, so this supplement is not required.

Overall, Necromunda 2027 delivers the biggest long-term reveal, especially with its shift away from roleplaying content. Meanwhile, the Space Marine 2 promotion turns a video-game milestone into a limited hobby collectible. River of Bones adds the most tabletop crunch for players wanting themed Tomb Kings or Wood Elf armies. Together, these updates cover miniatures, collectibles, and substantial new rules without feeling repetitive.
