Hi all, today marks the launch of our 15-week play through of the Flames of War Market Garden Global Campaign. Each week we will revel a a new set of battles for you to play as we progress through the campaign! There is no pressure to play every game or every week. Just like a real war the action will move forward regardless. You can read more about how the campaign functions, mission rules and recommended army lists in the link below

How You Can Fight
The point of this campaign is to get people fighting fro mall over the world. To that end here are the institution on how you can contribute. For the next week (until midnight EST on Sunday Sept 27th you can log a game here and have it impact the overall campaign.
Any player may take the units listed in the Battle Order as part of their army for free. These units are considered to be part of your army for the purpose of determining battles size (minefields etc). For further details please review the Market Garden Addendum rules. Alternatively, players may replace these free units with the listed points they can use to increase their army roster
Market Garden Global Campaign Week 1 Battles Orders:
1.1.1 — VALKENSWAARD ROAD

GUARDS ARMOURED DIVISION
OPERATION ORDER – PRIORITY
To: Forward Elements, Guards Armoured Division
Subject: Advance on Valkenswaard Road
SITUATION: Enemy airborne and anti-tank elements are reported astride the Valkenswaard road and approaches. Their position obstructs the advance of XXX Corps.
MISSION: Lt. Col. Vandeleur will press the advance and secure the road north.
EXECUTION: Guards armour will attack along the main axis. Attached Yeomanry Shermans are to engage enemy armour and strongpoints encountered during the advance. Typhoon fighter-bombers are available for identified concentrations and anti-tank positions when control permits.
Speed is essential. Bypass minor resistance where practicable. Clear the road sufficiently for following formations and maintain the advance toward Eindhoven.
REPORT: Road open, enemy strength, and casualties to Brigade immediately upon securing the objective.

1.1.2 — MAAS-WAAL CANAL BRIDGE

82nd AIRBORNE DIVISION
FIELD ORDER 1.1.2
To: Elements, 82nd Airborne Division
Subject: Seizure of Maas-Waal Canal Crossing
SITUATION: German troops occupy or threaten the approaches to the Maas-Waal Canal. Control of the crossing is required to protect the division position and preserve the route toward Nijmegen.
MISSION: Airborne elements will attack and secure the bridge and immediate approaches.
EXECUTION: Infantry will move rapidly upon the objective, clear enemy positions on both approaches, and establish local security beyond the crossing. Airborne pack artillery will support the assault, suppressing identified strongpoints and enemy concentrations.
The bridge is to be taken intact if possible. Avoid unnecessary damage to the crossing.
REPORT: Signal immediately when the bridge is secure. Report enemy strength, condition of bridge, casualties, and ammunition state.
The 82nd’s Market Garden mission centered on crossings around Nijmegen, with bridge seizure being central to Gavin’s orders.

1.1.3 — UDEN ROAD

101st AIRBORNE DIVISION
FIELD ORDER 1.1.3
To: 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment
Subject: Clearance of Uden Road
SITUATION: Enemy forces have appeared north of the Veghel sector and threaten movement along the division corridor. The Uden road junction must remain in friendly hands.
MISSION: Elements of the 506th PIR will advance north, clear the road, and secure the junction.
EXECUTION: Captain Richard Winters will lead the designated assault element. Move promptly, destroy or dislodge enemy forces encountered, and establish a defensive position controlling the road upon seizure of the objective. Maintain contact with adjacent units and prevent enemy infiltration onto the highway.
REPORT: Advise Regiment when the junction is secured. Report enemy dispositions, casualties, prisoners, and any requirement for reinforcement.
