The new Legion Han & Chewie preview leans into classic scoundrel energy.
However, this version is not about Rebel command heroics. Instead, it captures their earlier smuggler partnership. That makes the unit feel fast, risky, and properly objective-focused.
Han and Chewie Turn Risky Objective Plays Into Real Pressure

Han Solo and Chewbacca arrive as a two-miniature Mercenary Operative unit built around movement, survival, and scenario pressure. Unlike many mercenary pieces that mainly hunt enemy models, this duo thrives when fighting near objectives.
Their Eyes on the Prize: Steady keyword gives them Steady while contesting objectives, which fits their whole “grab the prize and improvise” vibe perfectly. However, Self Preservation means they cannot borrow courage from units outside their Affiliation, so players still need to manage pressure carefully. Meanwhile, Uncanny Luck 2 and Surge make them surprisingly durable for such a small unit.

The Han Solo, Reckless Smuggler upgrade pushes them toward gunfighting, adding Tough, Independent: Aim 1, and Gunslinger. That last rule lets them split shots into two targets, which is exactly the kind of reckless nonsense Han would call a plan. The new Tough keyword also helps spread wounds between the two miniatures, keeping the unit effective longer.

Chewbacca, Courageous Co-Pilot adds Tough too, plus Defend 1 for more Dodge support. Also, his Bowcaster brings Impact 1 and Pierce 1, while Overwhelm reminds enemies that charging a Wookiee is rarely clever. The command cards round out the package nicely.

Never Tell Me the Odds boosts offense with Aim tokens and Marksman, then rewards ending on an objective with Dodges and Suppression removal.

Wookiee Life Debt adds protective tricks around Chewie, Luke, or Leia.

Finally, Boring Conversation Anyway coordinates Han, Chewie, Luke, and Leia while spiking damage through Surge conversion.
Summary and Final Thoughts
Overall, this is a flavorful and useful Han and Chewie design. It rewards bold objective play, but it still brings enough firepower to punish careless opponents.
