Hi all, we are launching our Firestorm campaign covering Rommel’s great triumph in the desert!
In our previous article we covered the campaign historical background and the initial board set up. For this round, we rolled 4 battles (the minimum possible) and had to figure out how to account for the fact most of the allied players were Soviets. Apologies in advance for the un-african boards

Battle 1 – German Victory 6-3

The Germans are off to a hard fought 6-3 victory managing to push back the Allies and take their first step towards Tobruk!

Battle 2: German Victory 8-1

The Germans continue their assault winning initiative and attacking the french redoubt at Bir Hachem. They also get lucky and manage to destroy the fortifications meaning that no repeat assault is needed.

Battle 3- Italian Victory 7-2

Back in ACTUAL North Africa the Italians defeat the American forces staging a daring rescue of some hapless officers.

Battle 4 – German Victory 8-1

Another Soviet match up for the first round (it gets better later I promise) sees the Germans manage to capture the Infantry Firestorm unit and destroy the fortifications but no close out the pocket.

With that the Germans misfortune of rolling a low number of initial battles is offset by a strong of 4 wins in a row. Following the strategic moves the biard is set as such:

The allies will now only be -1 to their initiative rolls (as long as Rommell lives) which means they now have a much better chance of getting to attack!
