Konflikt ’47 August 2026 Army List Updates!

Konflikt ’47 is getting a big rules refresh for Invasion Amerika.

However, this update is not just routine cleanup. The Empire of Japan gets the loudest spotlight, despite being very sneaky. Meanwhile, several other nations receive useful tweaks and clarifications. This is a summary of a community post found here.

Japan Gets New Ghost Tools, Better Shiboru Costs, and a Major Platoon Update

The August 2026 army list changelog arrives alongside Invasion Amerika pre-orders, and it is clearly built to get new models into games fast. The free PDF army lists, FAQ, errata, and Warlord Games App are all being updated together, which is exactly what players need when a new wave hits. However, the Empire of Japan is the star here. Four new units join the army list: Kimura Tadaaki, Scourge of the Spirit Realm, the Ghost Infiltration Platoon Commander, the Shadow Warrior Squad, and the Special Type Onryō Assault Walker. Also, the Ghost Infiltration Platoon becomes a Special Platoon, meaning it can replace a mandatory Assault Platoon during force building.

That is a big deal, because it lets Japan build around its weirdest Rift-tech identity instead of just sprinkling Ghosts into a normal list. The Ghost Attack Squad also gets a meaningful Bon Odori update. Instead of redeploying at least 12 inches from enemies, the unit now only needs to redeploy at least 6 inches away. That makes the ability much more usable, especially against big armies that can screen large parts of the table. Meanwhile, the Onryō walker gets rules early, even though its plastic kit is not due until late November.

That feels like a nice nod to converters, because wargamers absolutely will build something cursed in the meantime. The other major Japan change is the Shiboru weapon cost reduction. Since Japan often had fewer Order Dice due to expensive Rift weapons, this should make list building more flexible. The affected options include Shiboru Rifle Squads, Battle-Frame and Assault-Frame infantry, Ghost Attack Squads, Snipers, light walkers, and Shiboru-equipped tanks.

Other Nations Get Smaller but Useful Adjustments

The United States update is smaller, although it still matters. Tough as Nails is now limited to Veteran Platoon and Company Commanders, which fits the idea of hardened leaders inspiring ordinary troops. Also, Slammer Samuels is now Captain Harris “Slammer” Samuels, “The First Paragon.” He costs more, but his Damage Value rises to 7+, making him unusually tough. The Axis get similar command trimming, with Hand of the Green Vault limited to Veteran commanders.

Also, Volksgrenadier minimum size drops so they can fit into an Sd.Kfz. 250 transport. The British Commonwealth can now use late-war units from the latest Bolt Action supplement. Meanwhile, the Bombardier’s Corrosive Shell wording now exhausts the Rift Die after use, which improves automated unit synergy. Finally, the FAQ clarifies Walker assaults, Line of Sight, backward charges, Hard to Kill, Cover, and weapons that ignore Cover.

Summary and Final Thoughts

Overall, this is a smart growth update for Konflikt ’47. Japan gets real identity, while other armies get cleaner rules. However, the best part is the forward momentum. More heroes, units, plastics, Rift War volumes, and supplements are already teased.
