August looks like a busy month for Battlefront players with roadmaps for several game systems.
The update covers new units, campaign downloads, captured tank rules, and archived hobby support. However, the real hook is how much of this content arrives as free community material. For tabletop generals, that means more list-building toys without waiting on big book releases. This is a summary of a community post found here.
Roadmap Goodies: Clash of Steel, Flames of War, ‘Nam, and Fate of a Nation All Get Support

Clash of Steel gets the flashiest update first, with several new armored units joining the game. American players gain the M48A5 Patton and M901 ITV, while British forces add the Chieftain Stillbrew and Scorpion. Meanwhile, Germans receive the Kanonejagdpanzer and M48, and Soviet players get the T-64 and BMP-1.
That is a strong spread, especially for players wanting more Cold War flavor and battlefield variety. However, the captured tanks mechanic may be the most entertaining part. Players can field strange enemy armor in opposing national forces, including monsters like the Maus, Panther 8.8cm, T28, T29, Tortoise, IS-7, and IS-3. It is the kind of alternate-history chaos that makes casual armored games memorable. Better yet, unit cards, formations, and rules are coming as free downloads through Battlefront Community and Forces. The Flashpoint: Hungary campaign also arrives as a free flexible campaign system, which should suit groups that cannot meet every week.
Flames of War then returns to Normandy with Firestorm: Caen. After June’s Overlord campaign, this map campaign follows the brutal fight for Caen from Operation Neptune through Operation Goodwood. So, British, American, and 21st Panzer players get a strong excuse to hit the table.

Meanwhile, ‘Nam heads into the 1968 Tết Offensive with Firestorm: Hue and adds South Korean formations. Finally, Fate of a Nation expands Checkpoint Charlie with Jordanian Charioteers, Saracens, Archers, Egyptian OT-64s, and Shmel-armed GAZ Jeeps.
Summary and Final Thoughts
Overall, this is a strong community roadmap because it supports several player bases at once. Also, the free PDFs and temporary Forces access make testing new ideas easy.
