The Armoured Train: A Rolling Fortress With Real History
Polish armoured trains became important soon after Poland regained independence in 1918. During the 1919 to 1920 war against the Bolsheviks, they served as vital mobile firepower. Also, dozens of improvised trains fought during the border conflicts that shaped the new Polish state. After 1921, only the best trains remained active. By September 1939, Poland still fielded two armoured train battalions. The set includes one locomotive, one assault car, and two artillery cars. Overall, it should be a fantastic centerpiece for early-war games.
