Warhammer had one of those news days that hits several shelves at once.
The big headline is Armageddon, where the Siege of Death Mire settled. Meanwhile, Age of Sigmar keeps feeding Ogor players with specialized army rules. Also, Blood Angels fans get a Heresy hook that sounds wonderfully grim.
Death Mire Ends in the Most 40K Way Possible

The Siege of Death Mire wrapped after three weeks of global battles, and the result is deliciously Warhammer. The Imperium started strong in Weeks One and Two. Space Marines held the outer walls, then won again in the Cloisters. However, Ork players came roaring back in Week Three and took the Hive Heart with 53.7% of reported battles.

They also won in Warhammer stores, overrunning Gallows Spaceport and cutting off fast reinforcement routes. So, instead of a clean victory, Hive Death Mire collapses into a long war of attrition. That feels perfect for Armageddon, because nobody gets peace there. Better yet, both factions get rewards because the campaign ended in a draw. Space Marines receive the Vengeful Hosts detachment, built around jump pack infantry hitting harder after ingress or charge moves.

Meanwhile, Orks receive Equatorial Hordes, which gives up to three Mob or Kommandos units Scouts 6 inches.

That is wonderfully kunnin’, especially for Boyz and Kommandos crashing forward early. The article also shows multipart Ork Boyz with sluggas, shootas, and special weapons. Nob options include an ammo runt and a squig pal.
Ogor Armies of Renown Let You Pick Your Hunger

The Ogor Mawtribes battletome is getting three Armies of Renown, and each pushes a different appetite. Meatfist Mawtribe is the straightforward brawler choice, built to cross the table and punish anything foolish enough to hit them.

Its Bloodthirsty Arrogance trait causes mortal damage back when Meatfist infantry roll unmodified save rolls of 1 against combat attacks.

Also, Snott, Gnoblar Thief can steal enemy artifacts as the rounds progress.

Beastclaw Alfrostun leans into the Everwinter, making friendly Alfrostun units invisible to enemies more than 12 inches away.

Then Grasp of the Everwinter can deal mortal damage to enemy units fighting your Alfrostun pieces.

Meanwhile, Mawseeker Gollop tracks raw ingredients from destroyed enemy units, then spends them on disgusting recipes.

The Organ Platter gives nearby Gollop melee weapons Crit Mortal, which should make combat snowball fast.

Finally, two Regiments of Renown add mercenary flavor. Okar’s Torrbad brings a Huskard on Stonehorn and Thundertusk Beastriders to Destruction armies. Urrgar’s Maulerguts adds a Tyrant on Glutthorn and Maulbeast Cavalry to 13 factions, with outflanking pressure baked in.
Raldoron Faces the Blood Angels’ Old Nightmare

The Black Library reveal is shorter, but it has real bite for Horus Heresy readers. Raldoron: Revenant is a new Guy Haley novel starring the legendary First Captain of the Blood Angels. Raldoron is known for fluid leadership, battlefield pragmatism, and understanding his brothers’ hearts. However, those gifts are tested as the Legion mass-recruits Inductii during Horus’ war for the Garmon Cluster. These new warriors lack the training that usually restrains the sons of Sanguinius. Worse, they struggle with the Red Thirst, echoing the Revenant Legion that existed before Sanguinius transformed them.

That is a cracking premise, because Blood Angels stories work best when nobility fights savagery. The question is not just whether Raldoron can win battles. Instead, it is whether he can keep the Legion from remembering what it used to be. The novel is coming to pre-order soon in regular hardback and Special Edition formats.
Overall, this batch lands because each reveal adds different fuel. The campaign gives 40K players new detachments and Ork hype. Meanwhile, Ogors get flavorful build paths, and Blood Angels fans get a darker Heresy character piece.
