Warmachine’s Gravediggers are getting a very Cygnaran answer to the super heavy arms race.
Instead of another huge gun platform, Bandit arrives as a command piece with real table tricks. That matters, because Gravediggers already love layered shooting and battlefield setup. However, this reveal makes their next tool flexible and aggressive. This is a summary of the community post found here.
Bandit Leads Airdropped Warjacks

Bandit began life as the Charger assigned to Allison Jakes. Now, thanks to an upscaled hull and experimental cortex, it becomes something stranger. It is a super heavy that can marshal warjacks and share battlefield experience. That is the real hook, because Bandit is not simply a massive stat block.
It starts with Aggressive and Heavy Boiler like the Valiant chassis, but the marshalling package defines it. Bandit can command multiple airdropped light warjacks, and each one adds a different tactical angle.

A Skirmisher grants Flare on guns, which helps mark stealthy or high DEF targets.

Meanwhile, a Blocker lets the group share +2 armour, turning Bandit into a serious anchor. If you need melee punch, a Raider gives Bandit and its marshalled warjacks Flank.
Therefore, the super heavy can shift from ranged support to counterpunch without changing its core job. FRAGO makes the engine smoother by allowing marshalling immediately. Also, it lets light airdrops count as additional heavy airdrops for Bandit’s marshalling needs. The Vanguard Command Cortex is wilder, since marshalled jacks benefit from warcaster spells and feats.
With Colonel Allison Jakes, those jacks can feed Synergy chains. With Major Grant Vargus, Standing Tall can stack more armour. Finally, Bandit’s Quad Cannon has Flak Munitions, helping ignore Warping Winds and Flying High range penalties.
Bandit goes up for preorder next Tuesday, while full rules are free in the app.
Summary and Final Thoughts
Overall, Bandit feels like a toolbox on treads. It can support Heavy Field Gun plays with Flare, then pivot into armor tanking or melee pressure. Because of that, the real decision is which warcaster best matches your preferred rhythm.
