Sometimes quiet weeks are still worth watching. This preview has no standard pre-orders. However, it still gives hobbyists a few things to track.
Instead of a product flood, we get Black Library collectability and Warhammer+ programming. Meanwhile, the wider new 40k rollout keeps rumbling forward.
Dan Abnett’s HIVE Gets a Limited Store Release

The headline item is the special edition of Dan Abnett’s HIVE. The book is not a new story, since it contains the same tale from the earlier hardback. However, the presentation is much fancier. This version comes in a decorative slipcase holding both volumes, with unique cover art, blood-red page edges, and red ribbon bookmarks. Additionally, it is tied to a limited store release on 30 May 2026. In the UK and Europe, selected Warhammer stores will stock it. North America gets limited copies at all North American Warhammer stores. Australia and New Zealand also get selected locations. Consequently, this is less a normal preorder and more a “call your local store” situation. If you love hive-city politics, grimy rebellion, or Abnett’s dense Imperial storytelling, this feels like a shelf-piece release.

Meanwhile, Warhammer+ has a busier week. Aeronautica Imperialis starts on Warhammer TV with Imperial and Aeldari dogfights. That is neat, because aerial warfare gives Warhammer a different tempo than another infantry grind. Additionally, Battle Report hosts its first game of the new Warhammer 40,000 edition. Black Library Book Club covers Ghazghkull Thraka: The Prophet of the Waaagh! Brainboyz also turns toward Armageddon trivia, so the whole slate feels themed. Finally, new-edition 40k coverage continues with early games and more Faction Focus articles. Genestealer Cults arrive tomorrow, with Necrons closing out the week.
Summary: A Quiet Week With Real Hobby Value
Overall, this preview is a breather rather than a barrage. However, that is not a bad thing. Painters get time to catch up, collectors get a premium HIVE chase, and Warhammer+ subscribers get new shows. Meanwhile, new 40k coverage gives players rules to chew over.
