Flames of War Heads to Italy With a Big Summer Launch

Flames of War is finally heading into the Southern Front in a big way. So, this summer release looks like a real centerpiece book.

Liberation of Italy covers 1944 to 1945 with a hefty 241 pages. Meanwhile, it pulls in Germans, Americans, British, French, and both Axis and Allied Italian forces.

A packed Italy campaign book backed by starter armies and plenty more to come

The book sounds loaded with the good stuff players actually want. There are unit histories, mission rules, fortifications, color photos, and hobby guides. So, it feels useful for both gamers and painters. At launch, four Starter Forces arrive for Germany, America, France, and Britain. That gives the release a strong spread right away. Then Battlefront is teasing Goums, Italy campaign Warriors, terrain, and more support as summer continues. So, this already looks less like one book and more like a full range rollout.
