There’s a new edition of Warhammer 40,000 on the horizon! Games Workshop revealed the preview trailer at Adepticon and as usual the video was packed with new model revelations.
In case you have been living under a rock for the past week, you can view the video here.
For the past couple of new editions, Games Workshop has created an action packed animated short that depicts a battle between the edition antagonists. The videos feature depictions of upcoming models that will be released with the new boxed set. 11th edition sees the setting return to the planet Armageddon, and the ongoing conflict between the Orks and the Space Marines. The video contains numerous clues to what new models will be included in the box. Here are the models that Games Workshop has revealed thus far.
- Space Marine Intercessors

2. Ork Boys

3. Ork Warlord

There are still several new models seen in the video that have yet to be revealed. Here is what we can expect to see in the coming weeks and months leading up to the Armageddon box set release.
Space Marine Bladeguard Character

This could just be a unit of Bladeguard that will be included in the new box set, however, we have yet to receive a proper Bladeguard Lieutenant and this may be just that.
Space Marine Jump Pack Chaplain

The only Chaplain variant that has yet to receive the ‘Primaris’ upscale.
Space Marine Vanguard Veterans

One of the last Space Marine units to receive the ‘Primaris’ upscale treatment.
Space Marine Landspeeder

A classic model returns with a updated look, bringing it inline with the Stormspeeder.
Ork Weirdboy

Ork players received a new Big Mek and Painboss model in the recent past. Looks like the Weirdboy is the next model to be refreshed.
New Ork Vehicle

A brand new walker-type vehicle. Properly Orkey with a LOT of dakka.
It’s an exciting time for Warhammer 40,000 fans! The next several months should reveal not only all of the new models that will be released but also what the next three years of the game will look like.
