You have sieges, daemon engines, heavy metal war machines, and just enough Imperial resistance to make the whole thing feel worth fighting over. So, if you like grim industrial warfare, this preview has a lot to chew on.
New Pre-Orders – Iron Warriors and More!

The big headline is Eye of Terror: Reign of Iron, a new expansion set focused on the Iron Warriors assault on the Cadian Gate and the forge world of Agripinaa.

Moreover, the books bring lore, new detachments for Chaos Space Marines, Space Marines, Imperial Knights, Adeptus Mechanicus, and Chaos Knights, plus Apocalypse rules for massive battles.

On the Chaos side, Kravek Morne is the named warlord leading the push, and he reads exactly like an Iron Warriors hammer blow.

Meanwhile, the new Defiler looks like a huge centerpiece kit, with loads of head, torso, shoulder, and weapon options, so it should be a hobbyistâs playground as much as a battlefield threat.

The Mutilators also return as customizable melee brutes, while the Iron Warriors upgrade frame adds legion-specific helmets, heads, shoulder pads, a hammer, and a power fist.

Then the faction gets a very on-brand Combat Patrol with a Warpsmith, Havocs, Terminators, and Legionaries, plus a matching dice set. However, the Imperium gets plenty of toys too.

Thulia Ghuld leads the Adeptus Mechanicus defense, backed by the new Hastarii, who can be built as Exterminators or Fusiliers.

Likewise, Imperial Knights get the fast, aggressive Knight Destrier, which can lean ranged, melee, or split duty depending on its weapon loadout.

The battalion boxes also feel tailored for distinct playstyles. Adeptus Mechanicus get armored support, Imperial Knights get a Dominus knight with two Armigers, and the Sons of Dorn box goes full armored wall with dreadnoughts and Repulsor Executioners.

Consequently, this preview does a smart job of making the warzone feel broad instead of one-sided. It is not just Chaos getting new toys. It is a full front opening up.
