Warhammer Events keeps expanding its convention schedule every year, which is honestly a hobby blessing.
So the travelling store keeps showing up with minis, merch, and those annual exclusive commemoratives. Last year we got a Skaven warlord and a Genestealer Cults operative, which set a high bar. However, 2026 swaps the vibe toward grim resolve and campaign wear. And if you love display pieces that still play on the table, these two are aimed right at you.
Cadia Unbroken: A Castellan With Pure Steel Nerve
Cadia Unbroken is a Cadian Castellan caught in a quiet, calm moment. She is clearly framed as a senior battlefield commander, and that long service hardness is the point. The base sells the scene too, because she stands on broken rubble with a tossed sandbag nearby. Meanwhile, the pose feels disciplined, with her gripping the strap of her scabbard and holding a glove behind her back. So it reads like the moment before the order goes out and the line surges forward. It also fits neatly as a leader for a Cadian force, or as an officer model for a regimental Command Squad.
Dawner’s Reward: Cities of Sigmar Fatigue in Miniature Form
Dawner’s Reward shifts to Age of Sigmar and the Dawnbringer Crusades. It shows a Steelhelm Sergeant-at-Arms in that exhausted pause after a fight. His heavy blade still drips with fresh blood, which is a nice grim detail. Meanwhile, his arms and armour are chipped and worn, so you can practically feel the long march. The base is even nastier, because a decapitated Kruleboy head is half buried at his feet. So it is not heroic clean fantasy, it is campaign grit.
Summary
These two commemoratives are designed as characterful snapshots, and they also double as useful tabletop pieces. Cadia Unbroken is stoic command energy for 40k Guard collectors, while Dawner’s Reward is pure narrative grime for Cities of Sigmar fans. Both will debut at AdeptiCon starting March 25, and then they will follow the travelling Warhammer Events team all year. That includes stops like the Warhammer Open Series and the World Championships, so you will have multiple shots to grab them if you attend.
