Come with us now on a journey to the Aetheric Void, where cohorts of the ancient Seraphon wait in perfect alignment, ready to enact the Great Plan.
Floating serenely atop his cosmic throne, the venerable Adam channels a transmission across the stars, bringing us news of the Seraphon’s latest celestial blessings.
New Heroic Traits: Starborn Might
To guide your warriors along the true path, three new heroic traits have emerged. The Chosen of Quetzl excels at leading Skinks away from danger, nimbly repositioning them at key moments. Meanwhile, the Keeper of the Old Ways is rewarded for furthering the Great Plan by gaining the ability to activate two Asterism abilities instead of one—multiplying your tactical reach across the battlefield. Most dazzling of all is the Child of the Stars, a hero composed of pure celestial essence. If slain, they rise once more in radiant rebirth, gleaming with starfire and ready to rejoin the fray. It only works once… but sometimes once is all you need.
Monster Traits: Ancient Power Unleashed
Not to be outdone, the great beasts of the Seraphon pantheon have also received divine attention. The Ancient Defender trait makes your monsters significantly deadlier in close combat, while Armour Cruncher gives them the precision and force needed to tear through the heaviest enemy protection. And in a truly inspired twist, Titan of the Land allows a monster to act as a walking Realmshaper Engine, pulsing out destructive energies just as if it were a piece of terrain. It’s the Seraphon equivalent of weaponising gravity and starlight simultaneously.
New Warscroll: Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur
At the centre of this astral might stands the Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur, whose warscroll has been supercharged for this season of war. The Carnosaur’s damage output has increased across the board, especially when hunting wounded prey—perfect for delivering finishing blows to weakened units. The beast’s earth-shaking roar now prevents nearby enemies from receiving commands, a powerful tool to disrupt battle plans and break shield walls. And if that weren’t enough, its presence invigorates Aggradon Lancers, making them even more ferocious when charging alongside their alpha predator.
General’s Handbook Fact #8: The Jungle Fights Back
Every battleplan in this new season features a twist—a unique environmental effect that gives the underdog a fighting chance. With the war now waged in Ghyran, many of these effects are drawn from nature’s cruelest impulses. Caustic Sap punishes those who dominate objectives, inflicting mortal wounds on occupying units. Pulsing Life Energies grant boons to magic users, enhancing casting and chanting rolls. But our favourite has to be Carnivorous Flora—because in the Realm of Life, even the plants have a taste for blood.
Tomorrow’s Scourge of Ghyran update takes us from the lofty firmament of celestial masters to the deepest, darkest corners of chaos. The Great Plan has enemies—and they are closer than you think…
