Hey everyone! Adam, from TFG Radio, here to let you get the lowdown on some of the magic that is 40K.
Well it looks like we have a new book out this weekend, right before we get the first taste of orks. The new book of fire brings us some new stuff and actually consolidates a few things. Whether the book is worth getting or not really just depends on you. Just like the book of rust, the armies of renown and army lists are for specific codexes so may not be wanted by those that don’t have an army that is affected by the books. Some people may still want them just for completeness and to read the fluff. Here are a few things in this new book that struck out to me.
Consolidated Chaos Space Marines
Thank god we got all those chaos space marine rules in to one book. Now we don’t have to carry as many books to every tournament we attend with chaos space marines. So now we can easily find the rules for all of our legions that do not have their own codex. Now bear in mind that none of the rules were updated, clarified, or changed to come more in line with the new edition. You may already know that they didn’t get an extra wound to make them even a little bit more effective. That’s ok because we have some new rules, sort of, with the new Be’lakor model and chaos does well when compared to many of the other codexes anyway, right? (#notbitter)
Bonus Rules for Codexes
Speaking of new rules, there are a few new specific army rules that come with the new book. Thank god we have something that could possibly boost the armies of the Adeptus Mechanicus and Sisters of Battle. I mean both these armies are hardly seen in tournaments and really don’t have any effect on the tournament results. I really hope these extra rules and bring these armies, especially the Adeptus Mechanicus, up from the bottom tier that they are. I mean who plays these horrible armies nowadays? They really need the help, am I right?
Be’lakor!
Just look at that beautiful thing. The rules for this amazing model must also be amazing. I can’t wait to get the model on to the battlefield. Actually I am not sure how good his army will be on the battlefield. There seem to be a lot of restrictions but I think that if you go full daemons it might have a better shot on the tabletop. I plan to build a daemon army led by the big guy so we’ll he how it works out. I already play chaos space marines so there is really no where to go but up! But then again, as they say, hope is the first step to disappointment. Either way I am excited to get this model in a game.
That’s all for this week. Hope you enjoyed the article. Let me know what you think, and what you look forward to in the new book of fire, in the comments section below. Don’t forget to visit our Facebook, Twitch, and Patreon pages to stay up to date on what we’re up to and when episodes drop!

Acting like the sisters supplement is actually a thing is hilarious. Have you read those rules? The belekor AoR is still more playable than that subfaction.
