This isn’t tabletop gaming related but it is near and dear to the hearts of many of us, so, enjoy! This is looking pretty amazing.

I know people have been impatient for more info, myself included! However, this trailer and the announcement of more info in June give me hope that this won’t be another FFXV situation. I really enjoyed FFXV, but it started development as a different game, and spent around nine years in development. A lot of people were worried this would either be a repeat of that, or a total cancellation of the project, which was a valid concern.
It may have taken four years to give us new info, but that’s still less time than it took FFXV to do the same. And it has also been confirmed that the team has a road map leading up to the release, with more info to come on the exact details. So, yeah, now I’m hopeful that this game is coming out, possibly sooner than anybody thought.
Of course, with it having been in development hell, I do have concerns. That’s perfectly natural for any game in this situation. Development hell doesn’t guarantee a bad game, though. For every Duke Nukem Forever, there is also a Doom 2016. I’m reserving judgment until I have more info, but for the time being, I’m excited!
Yeah, same. What we’re seeing so far looks pretty incredible!
It does look pretty, but It’s hard to have faith that this will be good. Squenix hasnt made a great game in like 16 years.
At least they don’t have to come up with a new “story” but I worry that the gameplay will be as shallow as the past few ff entries.
Well, to be honest, FF7 was the last one I actually played, lol. Eh, well, not true, I played FF Tactics and really enjoyed the first one, the second was too kiddy on the storyline for me. FF3 is still the best though, IMO.
They took the A-team off KH3 to work on this one, so it better be damn good lol
High hopes across the board =)
Maybe I’m getting old, but seven was the end of final fantasy for me. Long live 1-6!!!!
Lol, you and me both. 7 was the last one I played in the main series (did play FF Tactics 1 and 2). My favorite though, is still 3 (the American 3). That is one of the best stories I have played through in any video game, ever. It was so good.
I still have a soft spot for FF1 though, honestly. That was a super fun game. My nephew started playing it and wants me help to beat it…not gonna lie, that made me quite happy, haha.
