This week Adam uses this holiday to give thanks, or tanks. You’ll have to click to see for sure!
There is a lot going on in the 40K universe, and plenty for me to write about, but I want to take this opportunity to give thanks to a few people on this holiday, Thanksgiving, in the USA.
Obviously I want to that Frontline Gaming for the opportunities that they have given me, on this web blog and in other aspects of the ITC. I have known them for a long time, dating back when they posted on the old Dakka Dakka forums those many years ago, before the creation of the company. Having known them so long, it is nice to see them create something and watch it grow into what it is today, and continue to grow. I am grateful that they allowed myself, among others, to be a part of the ITC. I enjoy it a lot and look forward to my continued relationship with them.
I have to be thankful for Games Workshop. Without them, I wouldn’t be here typing away about a hobby that I have loved since seeing the first Adeptus Titanicus box, so long ago. The company has changed many times over the years, but the essence of the game has remained the same. Although I play many other game systems as well, my first love will always be the universe of 40K. I don’t think I will ever tire of the 40K universe.
I am also thankful for my co-hosts* and guests on the TFG Radio show for their continued help and support over the years. From the help in the early day, to the current incarnation of the show. I appreciate the help and support they give to help make it better as we try new ideas and approaches to bring you content that is different from the norm. Without their assistance, The show would not be the success, in my opinion, that it is today, and, to be honest, would probably not be here at all. So, thanks to them, you are stuck with me.
What is the show without it’s fans? I am still amazed that people actually listen to us. I am more amazed that people actually read this article and it’s not just me spamming the page with all the bot-scripts I have written**. I am always surprised when people say they listen and how much they enjoy the content. I mainly do it for my own, and my friends, amusement, and I am glad that I am able to reach out to so many people, good or bad. I enjoy doing the podcast, and entertaining everyone, so thank you.
Lastly, would have to be for me to give thanks to my family. Specifically, this thanks goes to my wife of xx years. She married me not knowing how deep my interest into the world of 40K actually went. through the years she has been, at times, tolerant, and at other times, supportive. Just like my 40K career, there have been ups and downs, but she has always been there for me. Although she doesn’t understand my interest in 40K, and doesn’t have ANY interest in playing 40K, she allows me to attend a number tournaments, events, and club night, without being upset about it. I know very few people that have spouses that will allow them this much freedom for their hobby***.
That’s all for this week, I hope you enjoyed the read. Let me know your thoughts, and what you’re thankful for this holiday season, in the comments section. Don’t forget to visit our Facebook, Twitch, and Patreon pages to stay up to date on what we’re up to and when episodes drop!
And remember, Frontline Gaming sells gaming products at a discount, every day in their webcart!
*I don’t name them because there are a lot, and this article is about me
**I don’t really do that. No, really, I don’t
