We’ve covered just some of the Stratagems in the new Drukhari codex, but there are a few more we thought deserved some special attention.
These strats look AWESOME! Drukhari players have a lot to get excited about. What do you think about them?
This article comes from the Warhammer-Community site, check them out for more great content!
We finally managed to winnow down our favourites to five:
Opponents insisting on using Smite? Teach them a lesson with this deadly Stratagem. The more Psykers they take, the deadlier it’ll be!
Archons are already some of the most brutal combatants in the 41st Millennium, and this Stratagem allows them to grow deadlier still. Even if you only use this Stratagem once, a one-point increase to Strength, Attacks and Leadership are nothing to sniff at for a single Command Point!
If the Drukhari have a disadvantage, it’s their relatively low durability. This Stratagem allows you to protect a key unit from being shot off the table (or cut to pieces), and while the Command Point cost may seem steep, you’ll be able to pack loads into your Drukhari list with ease.
While only Kabal of the Black Heart Drukhari will be able to use this Stratagem, we’d recommend taking a Patrol Detachment just to use it. Proper use of Stratagems is key to the current edition of Warhammer 40,000, and with this, you’ll be able to disrupt enemy combos or just deny them a crucial re-roll.
As free agents of Commorragh, Incubi are free to fight with who they choose, and while they don’t benefit from Drukhari Obsessions, you’ll also be able to take them in your lists without having to worry about losing yours. We’d recommend combining this Stratagem with Drazhar in particular – after all, he can now fight twice in the turn he charges.
You haven’t got long to wait now before you can unleash these Stratagems on your foes – make sure to pre-order your copy of Codex: Drukhari tomorrow, and let us know what you’re most excited about on the Warhammer 40,000 Facebook page.

Agents of Vect is a game changer! Such a powerful strat. The others are great as well, and I am stoked to see some DE on the table.
Im glad sombody agrees with me! Ive been trying to explain to folks on facebook how powerful that Strat is, and everybody keeps bitching about it being 3CPs. So what! That one Strat will win games all on its own!
The downside is that it really screws over my BA army that relies heavily on Dewcent od Angels.
Time to break out the Harlies and DE again
EXACTLY. It is SO good, it shuts down entire list strategies such as the BA descent of angels, as you noted. Cultist Bomb, etc. all get hosed.
Except it just buffs Eldar even more, since an Eldar soup list could just take a 100 pts patrol detachment of Black Heart and completely nullify half the competative builds out there.
“wait until the codex is out”
“Let’s play a few games before we judge”
“We’ll have to see what GW does :)”
“Ok just wait until next chapter approved”
That stratagem is game breaking. Aeldari soup wins yet again.
That is a tad hyperbolic, lol.
The way I’m reading it and the interaction with the Kabal of the Black Heart warlord trait, this is basically a 2 CP stratagem that invalidates any army list that relies on a 2+ CP stratagem.
I’m usually pretty positive about things, but Agents of Vect kind of puts my back up. I was always hoping that there would never be something that just straight denied an opponents stratagems – so much of a lists design and composition and even deployment and pregame decisions are based upon stratagems and synergies – it feels really powerful and sort of sets up some potentialy heavy feel bads.
We’ll see how it all pans out I guess.
It will certainly shake things up, lol, that is for sure.
