    1. And orks should get a rule:
“We ain’t aimin’ anywayz – orks can’t be affected by negative to hit modifiers in shooting phase”

  1. awesome list by frankie! I’d love to see that vs something reece views as a much stronger list.. love when you guys get competitive 🙂

    1. I got my ass kicked, lol!

I womped a very similar army to this with my Footdar in practice so I underestimated it. Won’t make that mistake again, haha.

  2. So if GW are going to errata away CSM using Daemon stratagems then will they change the daemon faction keyword on the lord of skulls and obliterator datasheets?

    1. Logically, they are daemons. They just cant use strategems the same as Space marines cannot use AM strategems so the keywords are still there. Such as nurgle marked oblits benefit from epidemius. They just cant use the strategems but benefit from the respective chaosmarked auras.

      1. Oh no I was referring to the fact that unlike every other daemon unit in the CSM codex that obliterators and the lord of skulls have their daemon keywords in the faction section. Set up like that they are completely legal in a daemons detachment and everything.

  3. In terms of the new Field Base terrain, do you treat the big buildings in the middle as ruins – do you let infantry pass through or hide inside, or do you treat it as impassable?

I have a set ordered so am just curious how you guys play it.

      1. No worries! I’m anxiously awaiting its arrival. Looks so good it’s even worth the cost of shipping to Canada and the Dollar exchange rate!

    1. Unfortunately, I don’t think the Vindicare is the answer. He takes about two turns to kill an average character, assuming you hit and wound both times and roll decent on the damage rolls.

A big unit of Snipers is probably more reliable for trying to take them out.

  4. Vindicare (80 pts) hits and wounds on 2s, ignoring invulnerable saves. Accounting for disgustingly resilient (DR), he’ll throw down about 0.5 unsaved wound on average. (On average, 0.46 unsaved wounds, NOT accounting for a 6 to wound)

10 scout snipers (140 pts) hits on 3s, wounds on 5s, where only half the wounds are mortal. That’s 2.22 wounds before saves, where 1.11 are mortal wounds. After invulnerable and DR, those 2.22 wins her whittled down to a measly 0.25 unsaved wounds. That mortal wound becomes 0.37 unsaved wounds after DR.

While that 10 man unit is slightly more efficient than the Vindicare, keep in my that my analysis isn’t factoring in the chance of d6 wounds for the Vindicare. That is probably more than enough to offset the 0.16 difference between the two. Also that 10 man scout unit is nearly twice the points. The Vindicare also has positioning advantage as it can pop up anywhere to help with LOS.

In reality, the Vindicare isn’t the fix to the characters, but it’s all I got at the moment!
