So, I (Reece, Eldar player) made a big mistake on turn 1! I forgot to use Fire and Fade and the Celestial Shield stratagems to keep my Guardians alive and possibly the Wraithguard out of charge range of the Broodlord.
I also should have dropped them down further away from the Building with the Broodlord as I realized too late he could just charge me through the wall and deny me overwatch. If I had positioned the Wraithguard better, I think they walk through the backfield. But, I didn’t =)
FRANKIE SO SMART
Did the tyranid player deep strike some swarms on turn 5? Aren’t they dead if they don’t show up by turn 3?
Nothing deep struck in on turn 5. The Rippers were already there.
Perhaps Reece or Frankie can answer this but did u notice any significance from the +1 T for swarmy?
Seems like T7 to T8 is a huge jump but T6 to T7 isnt that big a deal. I guess plas and autocannons arent as good but did yall notice anything significant?
It makes a big difference normally just not in this game specifically.
Any opinion on Devourer gaunts? Because of wysiwyg i have 24 that Im thinking of camping near a tervigon to respawn as Jorg. Definitely going to behemoth a trygon with stealers and a second one with gaunts.
Devourer Gants are great especially out of reserves with the shoot twice strat. Or, with normal Gants mixed in with them and a Tervigon regenerating them.
Great batrep! I have really high hopes for Tyranid lists, there’s a lot of great options in the book and I think there are enough tricks and abilities that they can hang with some of the top armies out there. Especially since Kronos is a soft counter to Chaos, which has been doing very solid at top tables.
Yeah, Nids have LOADS of options.
