Games Workshop is jumping into the stream game!
Those of you who tuned in to watch this weekend’s live-streams at Blood & Glory and the Bugman’s Full-Beard Cup will have already heard, but for the rest of you, here is what you can look forward to.
Warhammer Live, launching on the 14th of December, is an all-new live-stream show, broadcast 3 days every week from Warhammer TV.
Each Wednesday will be dedicated to gaming in the Mortal Realms, with both an ongoing narrative campaign, and matched play games streaming each week. We’ll be showing the full range of what gaming in the Age of Sigmar can be.
Warhammer 40,000 will follow a similar pattern each Friday, showcasing thematic battles from the iconic battlefields and war zones of the 41st Millennium, as well as more competitive games, each week.
And that’s not all – every Thursday, we’ll bring you interviews with the teams behind the miniatures, the background and the rules of Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
Warhammer Live will be a subscription service, bringing you over 60 hours of content each month, for just £5 – bargain.
And, so you can see what you’re getting first, the first week from December 14th, is going to be broadcast for free!
More news is on the way soon, so stay posted.
You’ll be able to watch the shows on the Warhammer Twitch Channel.
Looking forward to seeing what “official” GW players think competitive games looks like, and all the hate/tips/criticism they’re gonna get via the feed.
You should check out the coverage for AoS and BB to get an idea. They actually sound knowledgable of the game and don’t talk up every unit as if it was the best in the game (which I expected them to do). Overall, they’re actually the most enjoyable games I’ve watched on Twitch.
Also, don’t forget that if have Amazon Prime (like most civilized folks), you can upgrade your Twitch account to Twitch Prime, which gives you one free subscription a month, so you can use it for Warhammer Live.
Yeah the AoS was coverage was pretty cool and had the winner of that big AoS tournament in it right? The Viking looking guy and he knows his stuff in that game.
Also I give my free sub to front line gaming since I absorb pretty much all that content so seemed to be the fair thing to do!
Even though I watch StarCraft 2 and we all know it’s the better and more original story? 😛
Thanks for you sub!
cool, I have something to spend my free amazon sub on. I’ll have to setup twitch and watch a couple official GW games. I’d like to see how they play overall. Most of the stuff on this forum is competitive play and that is a different monster than casual gaming.
