Rumors: The Rumor Section is gathered from the web and is not in any way information we receive from any manufacturer nor is it necessarily accurate. This section of the podcast is intended for entertainment purposes only.
Rumors cloating around that the remianing “Daemonkin” books will be coming out for the remaining gods. The rumors contradict one another a bit though with some indicating that there may only be one single book for all three. We will have to wait and see what comes our way.
More rumors of a bloodbowl reboot on the way!

Thankfully we all didn’t have a ridiculous discussion on wether to allow Sister and Custodes or not, as if it was ever in question that they will want those be used (and more importantly sold).
This is much better then hamfisting in snowflake rules to force unbound units in tournaments.
The formations are nice but don’t make the units really that much better and most of all the formstions are actually a choice since players are still limited to 3 detachments in ITC.
If I had to choose I’d say the custodes formation is better since 2+/5++ t6, multi wound, eternal warrior with guardian spear block ability is a pretty decent defensive unit.
Eh. 6++, or 5++ occasionally is pretty weak. Reducing the enemy’s warp charge, on the other hand, is an effect you can’t get anywhere else in the game and can actually but a big crimp on the other player’s plans when they are already stretched thin.
I agree it’s a much better way of handling it, though. I eagerly await all of the people who were raging about how SoS/Custodes would make “broken deathstars” to try and show us that now, though.
I mean, to be fair on their facebook page they said that they were obliging the community. So maybe the discussion was still beneficial. They clearly weren’t planning on posting those formations.
That Vultarax is going to be a meta-busting motherfucker in some 30k circles with all that Haywire shooting. Say goodbye to your Spartans, Sicarans and Assault Claws…
Flare Shield on an FMC that doesn’t have armor facing, though? That… doesn’t work. FW, go home, you are drunk.
Thanks! And it’s tough for the company in the short term but we think it is better in the long term and just overall the right thing to do. We appreciate you mentioning it!
Very happy and surprised about GW quick turn around. Pretty cool. Now if we can get those final FAQs.
IMHO, these new units will change the meta a bit but I dont think this will help massively to reduce deathstars. Heck, I’m seeing more deathstars with the custodes …
I would like to see in the next ITC voting a proposed change from battle brothers to allies of convenience. That would change the meta drastically and instantly remove deathstars and all of the rules exploit that are currently possible. It would also simplify list building, reduce the number of possible errors / cheating while increasing overall game play. (With no deathstars, you will need to think and plan ahead)
Glad to see the idea of tossing out the battle brothers rule is catching on. The rules interactions it creates are the breeding grounds of all the overpowered deathstars in the tourney meta. Plus, My love for the Warhammer fluff dies a little on the inside when I see unit combos like Dark Angels with Space Wolves, or Blood Angels being used as nothing more than a drop pod taxi service.
Nice work on the paternity leave. That is not easy for a business like yourselves. Also apparently that’s particularly true in America! Also I don’t think we wasted our time having the debate on custodes / sisters. If anything it’s educating them about how we perceive their decisions and allows them to respond.

Isn’t the truly important thing that we finally got more Hobbit releases that I’m sure everyone was waiting for?
Well, the warboar or whatever it is that one dude is riding looks really happy about it 🙂
Mic drop! haha
Kudos on the paternity leave guys! If only more businesses in this country were like that!
