40k Australasian Team Challenge, 2016

An 8 player team event with 5 games over 2 day at 1850 points per army, held this year in Sydney, Australia.

The team I was in (Queensland) won the event for the second year in a row. Really happy with the result and all of the team for the effort they put in in preparation and on the day.

    1. It’s Scott here from The 2nd Wave Podcast based in Australia. Honestly, this is the only event that I have seen/played (Yes, I was the poor chump that played this army round 3 with a Battle Company) this army within the Australian Scene.

Now, not all of Aus play using the format and FAQ that were in use at the Aus team Challenge. In Canberra, the capital of Aus, we’ve been playing using the ITC FAQ, Format and missions for the majority of our local tournaments since this time last year, where I took the charge for ITC in Aus running the first event for it here. Since we have been using it, we have had a massive surge in our local gaming scene. Now, I have made motions to change more events over to using the ITC format/faq/missions, but the majority of the other states have the belief that it ‘changes the rules’ and ‘isn’t 40K’, which honestly is a load of crap.

I do agree that this style of list takes hardly any skill to play, however this is nothing against the guy playing the army as he was a great opponent to play against.
