Link broken?
Fixed! Sorry about that.
looks good I’ve had a lot of fun playing very similar house rules haven’t summoned though.
We’ll likely be changing the summoning to loosen up a bit in the next revision. Need to see how things run with it in more games for the time being.
Hmm I think they should restrict the mortal wounds, otherwise an skaven army kills nearly everything (Thanquol has 2d6 mortal woulds in shooting and stormfiends 2d3 mortal wounds)
Why sould I take normal units and not elite guys with 2 Attacks and 1 Wound? There is no reason.

In theory this sounds nasty, but in practice so far we haven’t found it to be quite as insane as it sounds on paper.
With this said, we have a few events coming up, so we’ll see how things pan out.

This is probably the biggest issue in AOS right now, but honestly there’s tons of stuff in all other GW games that flat out is not worth taking in any list.
We’re trying to find a way to address this in a second revision of the comp pack.
Im going to come out and say this. This is Retarted. Alot of it is.
1: So, You can inherit the Keywords of other models? No, thats stupid
2:Giving the Green Knight Keyword because “Thats how it should be?” No
3: Why do you have to keep the Bribe thing? Isnt Haggling going to slow the game down?
4: Why cant rolling an 18 on a dice get you it? Do you know how rarely that will happen?
5: Why literally change weapon Profiles? getting rid of -1 rend on the model and so forth.
1) You have to do this, or you end up with Daemon Princes that are not Monsters, or Sorcerers that are not Wizards. It is very clearly the intent of the rules.
2) lorelol.
3) Because if someone actually accepts it it’s their own fault. Takes no time to just say no.
4) Combine it with abilities to reroll a die, and roll 4D6, and it comes up more often than you might thing 😉
5) Re-read the change. It is removing a Rend value of “1” (which means it IMPROVES the armour save). Clearly a typo.
I’m going to come out and say this – “retarted” is not a word, neither is “alot” 😉
Using Lore as a Justification for a rules change is not the best justification. in the rules Belekor is not a monster, why change him to one?
Despite the fact that we disagree, thank you for the feedback!
Retarded was the wrong word, I should have said Misguided. Im sorry.
I honestly think using Fluff for a basis of rules changes is a bad Idea. Maybe the Green Knight isnt a hero because in this fluff, he is a loner or doesnt lead that much? Maybe the reason Belekor isnt a Monster is because he is more intelligent.
If we used fluff for everything, Certain guys should not die because they are important to fluff, Slaanesh followers shouldnt have access to summoning his deamons and so forth.
I honestly think, wait until the full release is over to make this call
I feel sorry for anybody who used to run a tzeentch themed army. There basic troop choice is a wizard, so they would be limited to 6 war scrolls (5 when you include that they have to take a hero who would also be a wizard), and even more shut down if they tried to bring a lord of change.
I’m not surprised to see summoning restricted, but these changes are really harsh. I don’t think requiring that the unit you want to summon be on the board already is really supported by the rules. It makes very strange interactions with named hero’s needing to already be on the board to be summoned. Personally I would have instead have had players have to include models they plan to summon in there army list so that they count against your number of war scrolls, but not against the number of wounds you can bring. I think this really limits the ability to summon more wizards, while still allowing something like vampire counts to summon lots of zombies. This is still really restrictive to poor pink horrors, but I suppose something has to be done about them, and there asexual mass-reproduction.
