        1. At least for ITC, it is 1 LoW Garg/SupHeavy max, so the Wraithknight will be regulated a bit, unless they have a Formation that allows more in which case we’d have to take a look at everything.

For now though, just be patient. We’ll get the book and go form there.

            1. Yes, but, the ITC format only allows for one super heavy LoW regardless of detachments. So, we have that aspect of it handled, but in casual play you are correct, you can straight spam Gargantuan Creatures which is silly.

  1. Reece please keep the ban on ranged d for the itc. I’m sure that there are enough eldar players to creat a plurality for it, but it ruins the game for so many and the game simply does not need it to have fun tactical games.

    1. +1
And please keep it to one LOW. PLEASE!!!!!!!!
I dont want to play the game of pick up my models, and I dont want to play eldar for a hope of winnin

          1. Thanks for that I needed to feel just that tad more TFG for playing Eldar 😉 looks like a lot of us are ready to save you the trouble and commit seppuku anyways lol

        1. Yeah but if you ban shooting D weapons don’t you need to rewrite the rest of the books? In theory the point values of the units reflect their equipment…I guess that argument never worked on you guys before and it assumes there is some sort of logic or internal balance to GW rules…which we all just lolz at by now.

        2. I think you need to just play it as written and get over it at this point. I have been saying for months that trying to pick up the pieces GW is continually making for you is a futile task. You are tying to paint the Mona Lisa with a box of crayolas…

          1. And that is fine that you hold that opinion. However, I can tell you with absolute certainty that if we played 7th ed, “out of the box” with all the rules, events would dwindle down to nothing in attendance and die. It would be very bad for the community and bad for business. We have a vested interest in providing the best gaming experience we can, and considering our numbers grow while many events shrink, I think we are on the right track.

          2. At what point do you understand though that you have basically attached your business to the titanic? IMO, at some point the community is going to flee outright, I would start looking for game B.

            1. Well, I understand where you’re coming from, but, this is not the first nor the last time GW has done something seemingly insane to us, before, lol. The fact of the matter is that they are still the largest, and longest lasting tabletop miniatures game company in the world. They aren’t going anywhere. At times it does just feel like they’re nuts, but, they continue to thrive. We still love the game, we have just accepted the fact that we have to make adjustments as we go in order to keep things fun.

  2. After reading the most current rumours it looks like Codex Craftworld will be one of tough choices. Some awesome buffs through the formations, squadrons of grav tanks, flyer hunting hawks. Eldar armies will be more diversed with this codex than the last one.

      1. It will be difficult to make a bad list from what I’ve seen… I mean you could… but most every unit will have it’s place and purpose, and be relatively efficient.

There may be a smaller number of true power builds that dominate the game, but I could see a lot of people dusting off favorite models who didn’t get fielded last ‘dex.

  3. Well it’s either quite my favorite army of 16 years or embrace the cheese….

Already started modeling a Farseer with a giant empty jar strapped to his back, to collect all you tears

  4. So much for most balanced edition ever….you had to know GW could not be trusted to keep making codexes with similar power levels….to be honest you can’t complain, because you chose to play GW products an they have been doing this over and over again since the 90s. Love it or leave it.

  5. I just can’t wait for Chaos Space Marines to come out as the reaction to this Codex… Or maybe there will finally be a Slaanesh themed book, just in time to be caught in the backlash…
