if you showed me these lists with no context i’d swear you were almost playing 5th ed….minus the thunder fire >_>

The thunderfire was in 5th Ed though, or was it just a terrible unit?
Thunder fires were in 5th, i think they were always good, but there was a lot of things that over shadowed them a bit. The game (if i remember that was JUST when i started playing) was a lot about missile spam.
..and i think the regular Marine codex got back seated a lot due to Blood Angels and Space Wolves (you remember Long fangs and their missile onslaught!) just being better at Space Marine stuff, and neither of them have the Thunder fire.
That’s just my thoughts though.
