The latest scuttle-bug is that a GW employee has been fired over the 6th edition leaked PDF. Now bear in mind, this is all alleged and we don’t have any names, but that is the word on the street.
So what does that mean?
It could be total BS, it could be true, until we have some more accurate reports we can’t be sure, but as always, we pass along what we hear to you all.
If this is true, it means GW is pissed and the leak was unintentional. Hopefully though, they see that the community reacted generally favorably to the rules and sees the value in getting player feedback from the community to avoid problems like they’ve had with 8th edition Fantasy which has been generally poorly accepted and has lost revenue since it was released.
We’ll keep our ears to the ground to try and validate this rumor, and will pass along anything we hear.
More mysterious shenanigans coming closer to the release of the real 6th edition. This is starting to resemble the viral marketing for Cloverfield 2, but in a typically clumsy GW manner.
Kirby over at 3plusplus.net really stuck it to these rules and made some fantastic points as to where they fall apart. It’s worth a read. If the rules turn out to be true, I hope GW reads it and fixes those issues.
We’re always interested to hear other people’s points of view, I will have to check that out. We like the rules personally, and feel that while not exactly what we’d like to see, they are a far better game.
I read the 3++ “review”, I use the term loosely as it resembles a woman on her period that just spilled her Midol. There isn’t much there but a mega rant so I would glance over it more than anything.
As to the rules, a few guys from my store and I have been finding them in much the same way Reece. We like them and believe with almost a year before the actual release, there is more than enough time to make this “playtest” version smoother and easier to digest. I think GW may be finally getting some awesomeness leaking out of them.
Yeah, I hope this is true because if so, GW is getting a ton of feedback to fine tune and perfect the rules.
It would almost be like they’re doing it intelligently!

Good info, thanks! I hope that isn’t true, but we’ll see.
