Oh and the mek goes with the traktor guns, not the gretchen like I said in the first email.
Hey, so I actually sent that list in and appreciate the review!
There was an FAQ question which I should have put in the original e-mail.
Would the promethium relay pipes work on the burna units inside their transports?
If that is the case it makes the relay pipes an auto-include as the battlewagon chasses gives the burnas almost 30 inches of range.
I actually played the army against lychguard playing that they could shoot out of the battlewagon and lost horribly, so prediction correct. re-rollable 2+ is really nasty, even if you put 50 wounds on a unit.
Plz no ban new Tau suit. Now need a usable lord of war
We don’t want to ban anything =) That suit looks boss, we just need it to have official and not experimental rules.
Sadly, that is not likely to happen anytime soon, since Tau are a pretty minor faction and have only really appeared in a single Imperial Armor book- and, lacking an appearance in another, the new battlesuit, R’varna, and Y’vara are all de-facto banned.
For what I’m hearing. There will be points later on. In the compendium qthey are releasing
Apparently they have a rep at the Forgeworld open event specifically for AoS questions and he is quoted for saying that there will be a way of balancing games in the future on top of the scenarios, but it will not use points.
Sounds retardted
Hey fellas don’t let the haters get you down. Making it to the BAO or LVO is on my bucketlist of things to do, and the only prize I want is to kick it and have a few beers with you guys. The person that wants something is probably from the entitlement generation where you get a trophy for participating lol
I need that Red Mechanicum book ASAP!
nice cast as always guys!
Thanks!
awesome postcast yet again lads.
I’m glad you guys do realise that the Tau battlesuits have been sitting in experimental limbo for far too long. Can’t wait for the rumored new book.
That said, i’m willing to wager a pretty penny that the ITC will allow experimental Chaos Knights while still banning the Y’Varah, R’Varna and KX-139 until they are in a book. I guess time will tell.
We don’t allow any experimental rules, regardless of who they are for. It would be unfair, otherwise. And yeah, the Tau suits need to no longer be experimental, 100% agree. I’m waiting for my Deredeo to get the same treatment.
Out of curiosity, why would it be unfair? In what way do the “experimental” rules differ from FW’s other rules releases, either in books or in online PDFs?
Any chance bao will have recorded finals? It was so cool at lvo.
We will have video footage ,but nothing live, unfortunately.
Have you guys seen THESE rules in AoS
….with all the speaking of roaring..
example: The Grail Vow: You can re-roll all failed
hit rolls for this unit if, before rolling the
dice, you hold aloft a grail or goblet and
shout ‘For the Lady’ in a heroic voice.

I’ve been playing a fair amount of Age of Sigmar since its release this last weekend and I find it quite a bit of fun. One thing that has helped though is that my group has come to a sort of agreement on how to construct armies so that we could do some pickup games.
We use wounds a base, like points, so games will be 50, 100 etc. wound games.
Then we limit it to 2 Warscrolls per 25 wounds
Then we try to limit some of the super powerful Characters/Monsters/Warmachines by saying that for every occurrence of the Keywords Monster/Hero/Warmachine you must have one “regular” unit without those keywords. (So an Army with 1 Hero requires 1 regular unit, an army with a Warmachine and a Hero requires two units, and an army with a Hero riding a Monster would require two units.)
So a 100 wound list could consist of up to 8 Warscrolls, and up to 4 occurrences of any combination of the Hero/Monster/Warmachine keywords as long as there were also 4 Regular units.
Also we just ignore the silly rule requirements and just give people the benefits that they have.
For Example
100 Wound Bretonnia List
Bretonnian Lord (5 Wounds, 1 Keyword)
Bretonnian Paladin (5 Wounds, 1 Keyword)
25 Men At Arms (25 Wounds)
12 Knights of the Realm (24 Wounds)
5 Grail Knights (10 Wounds)
3 Pegasus Knights (12 Wounds)
Trebuchet (9 Wounds 1 Keyword)
10 Peasant Bowmen (10 Wounds)
-100 Wounds, 3 Keywords, 5 “regular” units, 8 Warscrolls
I’ve played a few games with this list and its loads of fun, the knights hit like a ton of bricks on the charge and the peasants exist to counter charge units that survive allowing my knights to break off safely and charge again.
These changes don’t make Age of Sigmar a perfectly balanced game. There is still massed deamon summoning, and not every unit is matched to every unit on a wound to wound basis. In a vacuum my 30 wounds of Empire Halberdiers are probably not the equal to 30 wounds of chaos warriors, but before my 300 points of Empire Halberdiers were not the equal of 300 points of chaos warriors in a vacuum either. Did that mean that they lost every time they fought Chaos Warriors? No, because you have to look at units as they operate within the army as a whole not as how they compare to other units in a vacuum. Though with the new way combat works and how you get to go first on your turn my 30 Wounds of Empire Halberdiers have a decent chance to kill those chaos warriors, probably better than they had before.
Really what I’m saying is that if you put even a modicum of effort into trying to balance your list with your opponent the game is surprisingly fun, very quick, easy to learn and actually quite tactical. For me it also has the added bonus of getting my wife to play tabletop games with me again.
But then again this is the Internet so clearly everyone is going to just use Fateweaver and the Screaming Bell and yell “I WIN” at the beginning of Turn 1 =P
Jesus, Sorry for that wall of text I didn’t realize it was that long until after I hit submit.
