We’re very pleased to announce our inaugural ITC Team Tournament! Inspired by events such as the ATC and ETC, the ITC TT will be something new and exciting to add to the LVO lineup. Mission and format design has been a collaborative effort between the Frontline Gaming staff and experienced Team Tournament veterans such as former USA team captain Ben “Spacecurves” Mohlie, Nick “Darkwyn” Rose, Ben “Dr. Insanotron” Cromwell, and Thomas “Goatboy” Reidy.
It is a Sunday event so most of the 40k Championships players will be free that day. If you end up making the 40k Championships finals and have purchased a ITC TT ticket, you will be refunded your ticket cost.

Army Construction Guidelines
- 1850pts per player
- Individual team member armies must follow all normal ITC restrictions for army selection.
- No members of the same team may have a detachment that is the same faction as any other member of the team.
- Detachments that contain multiple Factions, such as the War Convocation, count each sub faction within them towards the team limit. For example, one team member with the War Convocation formation would take the Imperial Knight, Skitarii and Adeptus Mechanicus factions for their team.
Team Pairings Process
- At the beginning of each round of the ITC Team Tournament, team captains will determine which of their players will play against each member of the opposing team using the following process:
- Each captain secretly writes down on their player packet one of their teammates to be their “team champion” for the round. The note with the selection from each captain is placed face down on the table. The selected “team champion” will be the last teammate paired, and will always be paired against the opposing “team champion.”
- The captains then roll off, and the captain with the high roll can choose to place one of their teammates
- The captain placing their player out first (team A) chooses one of their players, and announces they are being placed out for pairing. The other captain (team B) may then choose one of their players to play against them. The team A player on “defense” may then choose which of the 6 tables their game will take place on.
- Next, captain of team B places one of their players out for pairing, and the captain of team A then chooses one of their players to oppose them and the “defending” player in turn chooses which table their game will be played on.
- When all players have been paired, the champions are revealed and play each other on the last available board.
Scoring
- The outcome of matches between teams is determined by the total Game Point scores of the six games being played.
- Each individual game has a total of 20 Game Points.
- There are a total of 120 Game Points possible in each round, determined by adding all team members scores together for the round. The Game Points accrued by each team will determine the outcome of the match. The scoring goes as follows:
- 72 or more game points = Match Victory (2 Match points awarded)
- 49-71 game points = Match Draw (1 Match point awarded)
- 48 or fewer game points = Match Loss (0 Match points awarded)
- Match point totals determine which teams will win the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. Game Points totals accrued across the three matches will be used to break ties between teams with the same Match Points.
