News

  • The LVO 2019 40k events filled up in record time! Some of them sold out in hours or just a few days. Seeing how many people were on the wait list and wanting to come, Frankie and Reece started negotiating with the Casino for more space and jammed out to Vegas this past weekend to get it all set up. The good news is we managed to strike a deal that made sense and will be able to let more people in to the 40k Champs, 40k narrative and 40k Friendly!

  • While there, we also went to the very cool Gentleman’s GT!

Stormcast vs death

  • The new Age of Sigmar is up for pre-order, now! You can grab yours from Forntline Gaming at a discount with free shipping for orders $99 and up within the continental USA. This new edition of AoS looks awesome, and has gotten us excited to play.

  • A new Mortarch has been unveiled for Death: Lady Olynder, the Mortarch of Grief! That leaves one Mortarch left to be unveiled….

  • New AdMech units on the way! Hoplites, Peltasts and a new (and fixed!) Termite. Nice!

  1. Guys, do you think I’ll ever get a Greater Daemon in combat with anything that’s not a 1 wound screen model in 8th edition?

Probably not, as every time in FRIENDLY(because I’d never take a GD to competitive) games, they die turn 1 or the first turn after deepstrike(I either fail the 9” charge or the opponent just leaves as you can’t surround with 1 big model)

          1. I don’t know what to tell you, buddy. The only greater Daemon I personally struggle to get into melee is Blood Thirster. The GUO in our games barely gets shot because the other player is trying to deal with the Plague Drones and Plague Bearers in their face.

Same with Zarakynel, Frankie kicks me in the nuts with that model frequently. She usually dies but does a ton of damage on the way.

  2. Alpharius Walks

Some very on point comments about the frustrations of slow play and the virtues of enforced time management. Any thoughts on how that will be treated at LVO? I assume that providing each table chess clocks may not be feasible but if players bring them can they require their use?
