We are looking at grid patterns, yes. I want one for myself! haha
Grids would be amazing, especially for D&D/Pathfinder. I DM for a group of 10 guys every week, and grid maps would be terrific.

I’d like to see a 4’x4′ mat that looks like an aerial shot in orbit above a planet. Specifically, it would work well for Dropfleet Commander and similar games, and you could have a variety to represent different planets or different regions on the same planet. Just thought I’d pitch the idea. I know other people have done this already, but I’d be interested in your take on it.
They’ve already reached out to us about making some mats for them, so I would expect to see those, soon!
So.. when the maps are made.. will it be possible to have the deployment zones be marked on it ?
We can do anything with the graphics, but some maps would look funny with deployment zones on them as it wouldn’t be natural.
The discreetly marked deployment zones on the old city FATmat was my favorite feature. On the more open landscape style mats maybe work in some minor wreckage or strategically placed stones. Vanguard deployment is annoying to measure out but with a few visual cues one the mat it becomes a non issue. I am personally looking forward to another urban warzone style mat that has the deployment zones marked.
2×2 mats for “easy” Army on Parade displays would seem like a good investment.
