They’re fast and fun but very fragile. You will find it to be nearly the opposite of playing Necrons which may be cool as it will be a change of pace for you.
Craftworld Eldar can pull off a “hit hard and dodge the counter-attack” playstyle far better than DE can; Warp Spiders, Windriders, and anything with battle focus systematize speed as a defense far better than shitty cover saves or inv. saves on DE units do, and those same units also outgun DE by a huge margin.
They’re some of the best sculpts in the range, but outside of some specific formations or wargear combos with CWE, GW just screwed the pooch on their book.
I have seen Grotesquerie formation lists that are incredibly durable and still hit fairly hard. The Haemonculus Covens power from pain table really puts the base codex version to shame.
I love the Grotesque field, but it needs some psychic support. They were able to take down a melee wraith knight with a combination of Misfortune and Forewarning.

Yes, they do combo very well with all the other Eldar factions.
Eldar are better at being DE than DE are.
