ITC 2015 Clarification Question Poll

itc.logo.01.1

We always strive to make sure we get it right! One of the questions on the ITC quarterly update poll was a bit confusing, so we reworded it and are presenting it again to make sure we accurately represent the wishes of the ITC community. These two questions pertain strictly to ranged D weapons in the ITC. Take the very short clarification poll, here.

This poll will run through Thursday night, 8-13-2015.

  1. I voted for the buff! But it is funny because I pitched an almost identical D3 idea to you guys at Adepticon. Lol must have been alot more people with the same idea!

  2. Hey Reece just wanted to commend you guys on taking the high road and coming out with this poll. Like you, I thought the last poll had conflicting results.

    Look forward to the results.

  3. I voted for because I don’t think d3 and 3 is going to be crazy op but I do worry how big of an impact this will have on vehicle survivability vs elder. I still don’t see how Gw thinks 6plus d6 and potential pen results is remotely balanced lol.

      1. Yeah, a wraithguard one-shotting a hierophant is… too much. Once you start getting units of D-weapons or lots of shots, that six is going to come up all the time and not just once or twice a game.

That said, you nerfed a little too far with the first attempt. Knights still have to be effective and worth their points with just 2-3 D attacks and their stomps.

  4. My only issue with the D chart is d scythes. I have no issue with most D shots, but flamers taking down anything from marine to rhino to land raider to baneblade and ignoring cover along the way just rubs me wrong.

    1. D scythe is going to be worse when you start to realize that under he new itc rules 6ed forgeworld is now legal and d scythe and distort is all over the old forgeworld books on every unit. You have units shooting multiple distortion blasts for cheap.

The question I have is does the ITC convert all distortion weapons in forgeworld books to destroyer weapons as it may get a bit excessive at that point with the introduction of 6ed books.

      1. The only way I see this being balanced is If the old 6ed fw books like IA11 doesn’t convert over to the new 7th edition rules for distortion and you continue to use the old 6th Ed rules in those books until they are updated to 7th. This will logically follow the current pattern since old fw books don’t have thier point costs adjusted to the 7th Ed codex rules either.

        1. Pretty sure this is how it works. Though the Warp Hunter’s weapon is thematically the same as the Str D weapons in the Eldar codex, it has its own profile and rules. Barring an actual update from FW, it will continue to use those rules despite changes to other units.
