This release is the first in a series of cinematic trailers rendered in-engine, that will introduce the Legendary Lords of Total War: WARHAMMER.
These renowned characters from the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world can be selected in-game to lead the charge of conquest. Each has a unique range of special abilities, weapons, armour, mounts and their own distinct narrative quest chain.
In this trailer we meet Emperor Karl Franz, the revered leader of the Empire, as he rallies his army of men and deadly imperial artillery in a famed battle against a ravening horde of ferocious Greenskins.
The Battle of Black Fire Pass is one of Karl Franz’ unique quest battles in Total War: WARHAMMER, and also formed the basis for this year’s E3 demo. You’ll be able to watch the battle in its entirety, along with a developer walkthrough in just two weeks’ time on Thursday 30th July.

So confused, so they’re releasing a game based on a story arc and lore that they just terminated?
Well, you have to realise that Creative Assembly and Games Workshop are two different companies. CA started this game like three years ago, which is probably before GW had even decided on AoS.
Also, the Total War games have always been in a historical setting, so it’s only fitting. 😛
(And I find it funny that no one is complaining like this about Mordheim, Battlefleet Gothic and BloodBowl who are all also getting new computer games soonish)
Hyped for this one! Been looking forward to a Total War: Warhammer for so long! My only worry is that it’ll make me paint a lot less due to lack of time…
Well that told us nothing. And if you think the game is going to look like that watch footage they showed for Rome 2 before release then play rome 2 tell me if the game looks like the footage they showed. CA And SEGA are liars do not for the love of God pre order this game. Yes the game might turn out to be good but just wait and buy it after release. Because if I know CA, and I do, this game will be broken as shit and take 12 months of patches to make it playable.
Well, thankfully Steam has their refund policy in place now. Just look at what that did to the terrible PC port of Batman Arkham Knight… IF CA releases another Rome 2 (CA… please don’t) I Think they will be hurting plenty in the $$$ debt.
