So, Frankie and Reece played a game of high stakes 40k. The bet: the loser of the game wears a dress picked by the winner to the next tournament they go to. This is the result of said bet!

  1. I watched this just out of my sociology class and was laughing, but I started to wonder why a men in a dress to me, even a Santo cruz resident, is funny. I mean women don’t bet the the other has to wear pants…..
thenew I stopped caring and just laughed at Reece some more, Rock that dress boi.

    1. I think it’s going to be hilarious, although to be honest, it’s probably going to mean that Reece and his opponents will have heaps to talk and joke about. Not sure if the tournament has sportsmanship scores…

Did you actually shy away from drawing any conclusions, hotsauceman? Much as you don’t want to detract from the humour of what is obviously just a bit of fun, it does say more than a few things about society. I mean, it’s interesting to contrast in your head the difference between how people will react to Reece having lost a bet, versus choosing to dress that way. If they know it’s the result of losing a bet, then it’s all good. People will joke about it, and have a great time. But if Reece chose to dress that way, then he’d actually be further from what we are comfortable with than say, the average magic gamer. Which is saying something, because if his genders was different, I’d rather be stuck next to someone in that dress, than a sweaty black tee on a train. Switch the gender, and suddenly you aren’t sure where your eyes should be, and whether you tackle it head on, or just act normal.

And it’s all down to conditioning! We aren’t born that way.

        1. I understand.

In Australia/Victoria, someone might be described as being “manly enough to drink strawberry Big M” (strawberry milk).

Which recognises that it’s braver to buck a trend, than follow it. Good on Reece for owning it, in some ways it’s only as terrible an experience as you make it in your own head. I’ll buy Reece a pink cocktail, next time I’m in the US. 🙂

  2. Lol, the wig was perfect for that last dress. But I could totally see it attacking terrain every time you lean over to move something. Or perhaps it gives models shrouding?

  3. To keep with the theme, you should play either pure Sisters of Battle or Slaanesh at the next tournament. Either would work while you’re workin’ it!

Reece, next LVO ditch the suit and say yes to the dress. Good man going through with it. Cant wait for the pictures.
