The latest Kill Team Rules Update cleans up terrain interactions and several awkward edge cases.
Meanwhile, Age of Sigmar gets targeted faction fixes rather than sweeping balance changes. Warhammer TV also returns to the Old World with a narrative doubles battle. Together, these updates offer rules clarity, hobby inspiration, and some welcome narrative gaming.
Kill Team Rules Update Simplifies Terrain and Tightens Movement

The Kill Team Rules Update mainly targets interactions that could slow games or create arguments. Tomb World walls now follow normal terrain conventions, removing special exceptions around pillars and cover. Consequently, players should spend less time remembering which section of a wall behaves differently. Vantage Points also receive clearer examples for Light and Heavy cover when attackers fire from below. Likewise, ladders cannot be stretched beyond their intended span during a single Reposition action.

Several teams previously restricted from certain actions can now use Breach, just as they already could Operate Hatch. That includes Blooded, Chaos Cults, Exaction Squads, Fellgor Ravagers, Gellerpox, Hunter Clade, Inquisitorial Agents, Legionaries, Ratlings, and Vespid. Exodite Dragon Masters also receive movement clarifications covering forced movement and their unusual Mounted rules.

Importantly, concealed Exodites cannot Sprint or Turn into Engagement Range, matching normal Charge restrictions. Finally, numerous teams get smaller wording fixes, including clearer handling of interrupted activations.
Age of Sigmar Updates Khazalite Holds, Gargants, and Several Smaller Rules

Age of Sigmar’s October update is narrower, although Khazalite Holds receive several important compatibility fixes. Older Fyreslayer keywords become GRIMMDRON so legacy rules still function with the new battletome. Additionally, Lofnir Drothkeepers gain another method for generating grudge marks when Magmadroths die. Sons of Behemat also receive a useful structural fix. Both Matriarch’s Mob and Stomper Tribe can now field regiments led by Mancrusher Gargants.

Consequently, 2,000-point Armies of Renown no longer need awkward Auxiliary choices simply to remain legal. Smaller changes affect Ogors, Lumineth, Skaven, Sylvaneth, and Nighthaunt. Meanwhile, Spearhead receives several clarifications, mainly adding once-per-turn restrictions where needed. The Skaven Verminlord Corruptor also gets a points correction after an earlier typo.
Warhammer TV Returns to the Old World and Golden Demon

Warhammer TV’s biggest gaming feature this week is a four-player Old World Battle Report. Grand Cathay faces Tomb Kings in a custom scenario built around claiming a tomb and dealing with powerful Wizards. Interestingly, each side splits one 2,000-point army between two players instead of bringing separate forces. That allows Miao Ying and a powerful Tomb Kings Hierophant to shape the entire battle. Moreover, the scenario itself is available as a free download for home play.

Painting Desk Roadshow also covers Golden Demon at SPIEL with interviews from several leading painters. Slayer Sword winner Maxime Penaud receives additional coverage as well. Meanwhile, Loremasters explores the Khazalite Holds, their karaks, military forces, and Ancestor Gods.

Finally, Arkanaut concludes Friday with episode three, Dark Kindred.

Overall, the Kill Team Rules Update is the most immediately useful change for active players. However, Age of Sigmar’s fixes remove several irritating compatibility problems without destabilizing the game. Meanwhile, Warhammer TV supplies the fun side, especially with a downloadable narrative scenario worth trying at home.
