The World War III British Preview is a major expansion for Team Yankee’s British forces.
It adds new armour, infantry, artillery, helicopters, and formations. However, the real strength is how many army styles now fit inside one book. Challenger 2s Lead Ten Formations and a Much Broader British Army
The book expands Britain to ten formations, starting with the new Challenger 2 Armoured Squadron. The Challenger 2 brings the L30A1 120mm gun, Dorchester composite armour, and optional Combat Armour Modules. Also, its formation can mix Challenger 2s with older Challengers.
The Challenger Armoured Squadron remains useful, while ROMOR armour gives the older tank additional protection.
Meanwhile, the Warrior Mechanised Company gets new plastic infantry armed with SA80 rifles, LAW80 launchers, and Milan 2 missiles. Warriors gain applique armour, while the new WRAP2 version improves protection and supports mounted Milan 2 teams.
Importantly, older equipment still matters, so this does not become a simple “buy the newest tank” update.
Chieftain squadrons remain available, while FV432 companies can upgrade transports into Bulldogs and add M109 artillery. The Lynx Airmobile Company offers fast objective play, while Medium and Wheeled Recce Squadrons add several scouting options.
Those formations bring Scimitars, Scorpions, Strikers, Spartans, and Fox armoured cars to the table.
Royal Marines and Paras also receive full formations with mortars, machine guns, Milan teams, artillery, air defence, and recon.
Better yet, both can use helicopter transport for a very different style of British list.
Support gets even deeper with M109s, MLRS, L118 guns, FH70 howitzers, Rapiers, Starstreaks, Blowpipes, and Chieftain Marksman vehicles. In the air, TOW Lynx helicopters hunt tanks, while Gazelles help disrupt ambushes.
Apache Longbows bring AT 25 Hellfires, and Harriers arrive more reliably while dropping Salvo cluster bombs. The model range expands with a plastic Challenger 2, new plastic infantry, plastic Gazelles, and plastic Apaches.
New resin and metal kits cover WRAP2 Warriors, Bulldogs, Commandos, Paras, Rapiers, and artillery.
The book also adds Gun Team rules, Airborne Assault, Chinook transport rules, three scenarios, and a multiplayer campaign finale. Additionally, the redemption code unlocks both Forces content and a digital PDF.
Finally, Battlefront is preparing free Firestorm: Falklands and Axis of Attack campaigns. An Argentine force with three formations and dedicated releases is also coming.

Overall, this World War III British Preview feels closer to a faction rebuild than a routine update. Existing collections stay relevant, while newcomers gain clear paths into armour, mechanised infantry, airborne troops, Marines, or reconnaissance. Most importantly, Britain gains more answers without losing its distinctive mix of heavy armour, light forces, and flexible support.
