Want to join in the intense gritty action of the most daring airborne assault of the war?
Well you are in luck! My local group is partnering with other US and Australian groups to fight through the Flames of War Firestorm campaign. How does this process work? Read on below
What was Operation Market Garden

Operation Market Garden was an Allied offensive launched in the Netherlands on 17 September 1944. Its aim was to seize a series of bridges over major rivers and canals, allowing British ground forces to advance rapidly into northern Germany and bypass the Siegfried Line. American, British, and Polish airborne troops landed near Eindhoven, Nijmegen, and Arnhem, while the British XXX Corps advanced north along a narrow road corridor.
The Allies captured several important crossings, including the bridge at Nijmegen, but progress was slowed by German resistance, traffic congestion, and logistical difficulties. At Arnhem, the British 1st Airborne Division encountered stronger German forces than anticipated and was unable to hold the main Rhine bridge.
After several days of heavy fighting, surviving troops withdrew across the river. Market Garden gained territory and liberated several Dutch communities, but failed to secure a bridgehead over the Lower Rhine, leaving the final Allied advance into Germany for 1945.
How will the Global Campaign Work

For the next three week we will post 3-4 battles for you to fight. You can fight any or neither of them. You will receive a set of free units based on your side and determined by the Axis and Allied generals. We will handle all the logistics all that we ask is that you log your games via the form we will provide. Once we have all the scores we will average the results to determine the outcome of the battle.
If you are interested stay tuned here the official launch is Tuesday. We have also compiled some rules governing the campaign and some suggestions for the units to use to represent the historical era.
