Konflikt ’47 Ghost Infiltration Platoon Brings Shinobi Space Terror to Invasion Amerika

Imperial Japan is getting a properly spooky upgrade in Konflikt ’47.

However, this is not just another unit preview. The Ghost Infiltration Platoon sits right at the heart of Invasion Amerika. Better yet, it gives Japan a sharp new way to hit key targets. This is a summary of the community post found here.

Ghost Warriors Get a Full Specialist Platoon Built Around Deep Raids

The Ghost Infiltration Platoon is exactly what the name promises: Ghost Warriors infiltrating through Shinobi Space to strike American Rift laboratories. As a Specialist Platoon, it can replace the compulsory Assault Platoon and form the core of an army. In its leanest form, it includes a Ghost Infiltration Platoon Commander, two Ghost Attack Squads, and one Special Type Onryō Assault Walker. However, there is room to expand it into a full spectral nightmare.

Players can add up to three more Ghost Attack Squads, up to two Shadow Warrior Squads, and two more Onryō walkers. Also, Kimura Tadaaki, Scourge of the Spirit Realm, can join for some proper heroic punch. Interestingly, the Onryō plastic kit will not arrive until late November, but its rules are releasing early because it is so central to the army and campaign story. The platoon’s special rules lean hard into Japan’s mastery of Shinobi Space. Once per game, the Commander can use Bon Odori before executing an order.

Meanwhile, Ghost Attack Squads activated with Snap To! can do the same. That opens up nasty timing plays, especially when you want firepower appearing exactly where your opponent feels safe. The second platoon-wide Active Rift Enhancement buff is being held back for launch, which is a fun little tease.

New Commanders and Shadow Warriors Add Firepower and Melee Threat

The update introduces four new units, though Tadaaki and the Onryō are being saved for later. The new Commander is a hardened veteran Ghost Warrior with the full Ghost statline, including Bon Odori. He can bring up to five extra Ghost Warriors armed with Type 10 Shiboru Rifles, SMGs, and Combat Blades. Therefore, he is not just a tax piece. He can operate like a serious Ghost Attack Squad while unlocking the platoon. Also, players can build him from the new plastic set or existing resin kits, with kitbashing strongly encouraged. The Shadow Warriors are the big close-combat reveal.

Ghost Attack Squads want to shoot hard and avoid being pinned down. However, Shadow Warriors exist for the moment when something absolutely must be carved apart. They trade guns for Deadly (3) and Kage no Kōgeki, or Shadow Attack. This Active Rift Enhancement lets them ghost walk into melee against any visible enemy, regardless of range. However, failure means a Morale test can destroy them instantly. That is wild, risky, and very Japanese Ghost Battalion in the best possible way.

Summary and Final Thoughts

Overall, this platoon gives Imperial Japan a nasty new identity on the table. It combines mobility, surprise, ranged pressure, and terrifying melee threat. However, it also has enough risk to keep things interesting.
