Necromunda New Edition Pre-Order This Satuday! Gangs, Guns, and Underhive Chaos

Necromunda is getting a new edition, and the Underhive is clearly not calming down.

This preview feels like a full relaunch moment, not a small rules refresh. Better yet, it supports new players and veteran gangs at the same time. So, if you like campaign scars, dirty terrain, and desperate firefights, this week looks loaded.

Necromunda Skirmish Opens A New Door Into The Underhive

The big release is Necromunda Skirmish: Core Set, which launches the new edition with a strong starter package. It pits eight new House Escher gangers against eight new Goliath bruisers, giving the box immediate classic gang-war energy. Also, it includes a new game board and broken pipe terrain, which should make the table feel cramped, rusty, and dangerous from turn one.

That matters because Necromunda lives on awkward sightlines and bad decisions made near industrial scenery. The box also includes the full Core Rulebook, Gang Tactics cards, Campaign Scenario cards, a starter guide, construction booklet, 54 condition and status markers, a folding range ruler, dice, templates, and more. In other words, this is not just a model box. It is meant to get players fighting, tracking injuries, and telling filthy little underhive stories quickly.

However, veteran players are not being left behind. Existing miniatures remain compatible, and the Core Rulebook is available separately. Players will also need one of the new gang books, since those contain updated faction rules. Gangs of the Underhive covers the six classic Houses, Palanite Enforcers, Venators, Corpse Grinder Cults, Justicar Courts, Hired Guns, Brutes, Hangers-on, and Pets. Meanwhile, Gangs of the Outlands covers Outcasts, Free Ogryns, Genestealer Cults, corrupted gangs, Chaos Helots, Malstrain forces, Spyre Hunting Parties, Ironhead Squats, Ash Waste Nomads, and shared campaign extras. That split makes sense, since Necromunda has grown far beyond ordinary house rivalries.

The card support also looks useful. The Core Gang Tactics pack has 18 general tactics cards and eight blank Gang Fighter cards. Meanwhile, the Campaign and Scenario pack includes 22 Territory cards, 24 Scenario cards, and six reference cards. That should help campaign arbitrators keep the chaos moving without drowning in paper.

For players starting a house gang, new Underhive Crew boxes arrive for Cawdor, Orlock, Goliath, Escher, Delaque, and Van Saar. Each includes around 16 to 20 models from existing kits, plus a house-specific Weapons and Upgrades set.

Also, the Zone Mortalis Factoria Pipes kit expands the terrain with larger pipe options. Plastic double-sided condition markers and new Necromunda bases round out the practical accessories.

Finally, Black Library brings serious Necron hype with The Wicked and the Warped, Robert Rath’s sequel to The Infinite and the Divine.

Warhammer+ adds Embergard lore, Age of Sigmar scoring advice, and Armageddon painting tutorials. Overall, this preview gives Necromunda the big messy relaunch it deserves.
